What is happening?
PUBLIC NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on the 17th December 2024 hat on Wolverhampton City Council made the following Orders under Sections 1, 2, and 124(1)(d) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Orders which
come into operation on are as follows: 3rd January 2025
1. THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (TETTENHALL – VARIOUS STREETS) (ONE WAY STREETS) ORDER 2024
This Order will prohibit any motor vehicle to proceed in the lengths of road specified in column 1 of Schedule 1 in a direction other than that specified in relation to that road in column 2 of that Schedule and as detailed in the Plan Supplement
SCHEDULE 1
All existing Traffic Regulation Orders that conflict with the above Order and Schedule to the extents required are to be revoked.
2. WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL (CONTROLLED MATCH DAY PARKING ZONES) ORDER No.1 2024
Restricted Waiting Areas:
This Order will prohibit any vehicle to:
(i) wait in the sides of streets referred to in Schedule 3 and as detailed in the “Plan Supplement(s)” as a restricted waiting area during the periods specified except for the delivering or collecting of goods or loading and unloading the
vehicle at the premises on or adjacent to the street
(ii) to wait in the restricted waiting areas specified in Schedule 3 and as detailed in the “Plan Supplement(s)” hereto for a period exceeding one hour or if a period of less than one hour has elapsed since the termination of the last
period of waiting by the same vehicle in the same side of street during the Match Day Controlled Hours
Designation of Parking Places:
This Order will prohibit any vehicle to wait the lengths of road specified in the Schedule 3 unless authorised by the subsequent provisions of this Order
Alteration of Position of a Vehicle in a Parking Place:
This Order will permit a police officer in uniform, or a Civil Enforcement Officer to alter or cause to be altered the position of the vehicle in order that its position shall comply with those provisions
Removal of a Vehicle from a Parking Place:
This Order will permit a police officer in uniform or a Civil Enforcement Officer to remove or cause to be removed the vehicle from the parking place if in their opinion believe that any of the provisions contained in this Order have been
contravened Movement of a Vehicle in a Parking Place in an Emergency:
This Order will permit a police officer in uniform, or a Civil Enforcement Officer to move or cause to be moved, in case of emergency, to any place if they think fit, any vehicle left in a parking place
Power to Suspend the use of a Parking Place:
This Order will permit:
(i) any person duly authorised by the Council or the Police to suspend the use of a parking place or any part thereof whenever they consider such suspension reasonably necessary
This Order will prohibit any person to cause or permit a vehicle to be waiting in a parking place or any part thereof during such period as there is in or adjacent to that parking place or part thereof a traffic sign placed in pursuance of
paragraph (1) above provided that nothing in this paragraph shall apply
Restrictions of the Use of a Parking Place:
This Order will prohibit the use of any parking place or any vehicle while it is in a parking place in connection with the sale or offering or exposing for sale of any goods to any person in or near the parking place or in connection with the
selling or expressly for the purpose of offering for sale of their skill in handicraft or their services in any other capacity
Permit Parking Only Areas:
This Order will prohibit any vehicle to wait in the parking places referred to in Schedule 3 and as detailed in the “Plan Supplement(s)” as being restricted to use by permit holders during the Match Day Controlled Hours for the purpose of
delivering or collecting goods or unloading the vehicle
Restriction On the Removal of Residents' Permits:
This Order will prohibit any person, not being the driver of the vehicle to remove the residents' permit unless authorised to do so by the driver of the vehicle
All existing Traffic Regulation Orders that conflict with the above Order and Schedules are hereby revoked or varied to the extents stated therein.

Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Orders, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant section of the Act or on the ground that any requirement of those sections of the Act or of Parts I to III and IV of Schedule 9 to the Act or any regulation under the said Part III has not been complied with may, within six weeks of 17th December 2024 make an application for the purpose to the High Court.
