PUBLIC NOTICE

THE WOLVERHAMPTON CITY COUNCIL

(FIRST AVENUE & GOODYEAR AVENUE)

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)

ORDER 2024


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wolverhampton City Council propose to make an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as substituted by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, prohibiting vehicles from proceeding on the following stretches of road:
· First Avenue closed in both directions at its junction with Fifth Avenue. Vehicular Diversion Route: Fourth Avenue, Third Avenue, Showell Circus and vice versa.
· Goodyear Avenue closed in both directions at its junction with Fifth Avenue. Vehicular Diversion Route: Fifth Avenue, Second Avenue and vice versa.
The Order may operate for a maximum period of eighteen months, but it is anticipated that the works will be undertaken on 22 December 2024.
The Order is required to facilitate remedial works by
Cadent Gas.
