(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the U6529 Juliet Street Ariel Street Back Lane Ashington from its junction with Castle Terrace heading south for a distance of 80 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 9th January 2025 until the 23rd January 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 9th January 2025 until the 13th January 2025 and that the road will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 23rd January 2025.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the First Avenue, Alexandra Road, Castle Terrace and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumbrian Water Ltd to rectify a defective reinstatement in the carriageway. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
