Public Footpath FP0214015 - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH FP0214015 HAMBLETON & FP0220006C OUT RAWCLIFFE, WYRE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit temporarily all traffic from proceeding over the Public Footpath indicated below:-
Public Footpath FP0214015 Hambleton, Wyre, from Cutts Lane at Point A (SD3850 4256) in a generally easterly direction for approximately 270 metres to Point B (SD 3876 4254).
Public Footpath FP0220006C Out Rawcliffe, Wyre, from the junction with FP0214015 Hambleton, in a generally easterly direction for approximately165 metres to Point C ( SD 3893 4252). Continue in a generally southerly direction for approximately 90 metres to Point D (SD 3894 4242), and then in a generally easterly direction for approximately 410 metres to Point E (SD 3934 4244)
The closure is necessary whilst works are carried out on or near the footpaths.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpaths, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpaths, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking the works
The Order will be operative from the 6th January, 2025, for a period of 6 months or until the works are completed within this period.
