HYSBYSIR gyda hyn fod Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Merthyr Tudful (“yr Awdurdod”) sef yr Awdurdod Traffig ar gyfer y ffordd uchod wedi gwneud y Gorchymyn, er budd diogelwch y cyhoedd tra y bydd gwaith atgyweirio yn caei ei wneud ar y briffordd.

FELLY mae’r Awdurdod yn ymarfer ei bwerau, o dan Adrannau 2(1), (2) a 14(1) o Ddeddf Rheoleiddio Traffig 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd) a phob pwer galluogol arall wedi gwneud y Gorchymyn canlynol. Bydd effaith y Gorchymyn fel y ganlyn:

Ni fydd yr un person yn cael peri i gerbyd ddefnyddio’r briffordd gyhoeddus sydd yn arwain o Bant i Pontsticill o’r gyffordd â Ffordd Pant a’r bont ym Mhontsticill.
Mae ffyrdd amgen ar gael:

Gwyriad i gyfeiriad y gogledd – ewch ar hyd Tai-yr-Efail, Heol Rhyd y Bedd, Ystad Pant, i’r gorllewin ar hyd yr A465, Ffordd Blaenau’r Cymoedd i gylchfan Cefn Coed, i’r gogledd ar hyd yr A470 i gyffordd yr A4054 Cefn Coed, i’r de ar hyd y Stryd Fawr Uchaf Cefn Coed, i’r gogledd ar hyd Stryd Uchaf y Faenor, Cefn Coed, Ffordd Faenor, Trefechan, Ffordd Faenor, Pontsarn, Ffordd Faenor, Pontsticill, Tai Taf Fechan i Gronfa Ddŵr Pontsticill.

Gwyriad i gyfeiriad y de – i’r gwrthwyneb.

Daeth y Gorchymyn i rym, Ddydd Sul 15 Rhagfyr 2024 am uchafswm o 18 mis. Gellir cyfeirio at y Gorchymyn hwn fel Cyngor Bwrdeistref Sirol Merthyr Tudful Gorchymyn (Cau Ffordd Dros Dro) (Y Ffordd i Bontsticill, Merthyr Tudful) 2024.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14(1) Road To Pontsticill, Pontsticill, Merthyr Tydfil (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that the Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council (“the Authority”) being the Traffic Authority for the above road has made the above Order in the interests of public safety, whilst highway repairs are carried out.

NOW THEREFORE the Authority in exercise of the powers conferred on it under Sections 2(1), (2) and 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984 (as amended) and all other enabling powers has made the following Order. The effect of the Order is as follows :

No person shall use or cause any vehicle to use the length of the public highway leading from Pant to Pontsticill from its junction with Pant Road to Pontsticill Bridge.

The alternative routes are as follows : 
Northbound diversion – proceed along Tai-yr-Efail, Heol Rhyd Y Bedd, Pant Estate, west along the A465 Heads of the Valleys Road to Cefn Coed roundabout, north along the A470 to the A4054 Cefn Coed junction, south along Upper High Street Cefn Coed, north along Upper Vaynor Road Cefn Coed, Vaynor Road Trefechan, Vaynor Road Pontsarn, Vaynor Road Pontsticill, Taf Fechan Houses to Pontsticill Reservoir Dam.

Southbound diversion – vice versa.

The Order came into force on Sunday 15th December 2024 and will have a maximum duration of 18 months. This Order may be cited as the Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council (Road to Pontsticill, Merthyr Tydfil) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024.
