NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National
Highways Limited(a) intends to make an Order on the A47 Trunk Road in the City of Peterborough and the Counties of Cambridgeshire and
Norfolk to enable the installation of road signage and speed camera enforcement equipment, resurfacing and the renewal of road marking works to be carried out in safety.
The works would take place over approximately 7 months (8pm to 6am) starting on or after Monday 6 January 2025.
The effect of the Order would be to close, for 24 hours daily, all lay-bys adjacent to the eastbound and westbound carriageways of the A47 between Welland Road Roundabout and Pullover Roundabout.
The temporary lay-by closures (which would not apply to emergency service, works, or winter maintenance vehicles) would be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
The Order would come into force on 6 January 2025 and may continue in force until the works detailed above have been completed, or for a maximum duration of eighteen months whichever is the earlier.
