CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
(STATION ROAD, FLITWICK) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Station Road, Flitwick adjacent to number 3.
This temporary closure is required to enable new water connection works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 14 to 16 January 2025. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Kings Road.
The Order will come into operation on 14 January 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(THE MOUNT AND WOOD LANE, ASPLEY GUISE)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the full lengths of The Mount and Wood Lane, Aspley Guise.
This temporary closure is required to enable pre surface dressing and patching work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.
Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on Wood Lane from 13 to 16 January 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm and The Mount from 20 to 31 January 2025. The road will be closed at all times during these periods.
There is no alternative route for The Mount. The alternative route for the Wood Lane closure is via Woodside.
The Order will come into operation on 13 January 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(BYRON CRESCENT FOOTWAY, BLUEBELL CLOSE
FOOTWAY AND PRIMROSE CLOSE FOOTWAY, FLITWICK)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the following lengths of Byron Crescent Footway, Bluebell Close Footway and Primrose Close Footway, Flitwick:
Phase 1 – Byron Crescent Footway between number 13 and 15 Byron Crescent.
Phase 2 – Bluebell Close Footway from numbers 4 to 38 Bluebell Close.
Phase 3 – Bluebell Close Footway from 38 Bluebell Close to 75 Clover Road
Phase 4 – Primrose Close Footway from Primrose Close to Manor Way
This temporary closure is required to enable gas main replacement work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on the following dates:
Phase 1 from 13 to 31 January 2025
Phase 2 from 27 January to 31 January 2025
Phase 3 from 24 to 21 March 2025
Phase 4 from 7 April to 25 April 2025
The footways will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative routes for these closures are as follows:
Phase 1 – Footway adjacent to the carriageway along Byron Crescent and Manor Way and vice versa.
Phase 2 – Bluebell Close Footway from numbers 38 to 50, Public Right of Way FP5, footway adjacent to Manor Way carriageway
and vice versa.
Phase 3 – Clover Road Footway to the rear of numbers 62 to 59 Clover Road, Clover Road Footway between 51and 63 Clover Road, Bluebell Close Footway from 56 to 18 Bluebell Close, Bluebell Close Footway from 33 to 38 Bluebell Close and vice versa.
Phase 4 – There is no diversion for this closure.
The Order will come into operation on 13 January 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Pulloxhill Road, Greenfield between the junction with Oak Drive and Rosella.
This temporary closure is required to enable ditch clearance works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 13 to 15 January 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Greenfield Road, High Street, Flitton Road, Sand Road, Greenfield Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 13 January 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(FORDFIELD ROAD, STEPPINGLEY)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Fordfield Road, Steppingley outside the crematorium.
This temporary closure is required to enable meter exchange works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 15 January 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via A507, A5120, Steppingley Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 15 January 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2025
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along Longslade Lane, Woburn between Longlslade Lane, Aspley Heath and the gated track road and the entire length of Longslade Lane, Aspley Heath.
This temporary closure is required to enable cabling and tree cutting works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 20 to 24 January 2025 between the hours of 9am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.
The alternative route for this closure is via Woburn Road, Hardwick Road, Bow Brickhill Road, Woburn Sands Road, Church Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into operation on 20 January 2025 for a period of eighteen months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of London Lane, Houghton Conquest outside Brookside Farm.
This temporary closure is required to enable stop tap replacement works to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Central Bedfordshire Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle, except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Aspley End Road, Shillington approximately 30 metres south of number 52.
This temporary closure is required to enable overhead cable repair work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place on 7 January 2025 between the hours of 9:30am and 3:30pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

This temporary closure is required to enable gully cleaning work to take place and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. Where possible access will be maintained to property and premises but may be restricted from time to time according to local signing.
It is expected that the works will take place from 6 to 10 January 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

It is expected that the works will take place from 6 to 10 January 2025 between the hours of 8am and 6pm. The road will be closed at all times during this period.

CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL – NOTICE OF MAKING
BEDFORD ROAD, BROGBOROUGH – 40MPH SPEED LIMIT
On 6th December 2024 Central Bedfordshire Council made the below named Traffic Regulation Order which has the effect as follows:-
To introduce a 40mph Speed Limit on the following lengths of road in Bedford Road, Brogborough:-
1. Bedford Road, from a point approximately 30 metres south-west of a point in line with the south-west flank wall of No.6 Bedford Road extending in a northerly direction for approximately 630 metres.
Order Title:- Central Bedfordshire Council (Bedford Road, Brogborough) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2024
Date of Operation:- The Order will come into operation on the 26th December 2024.

High Court Challenge:- Any person who desires to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the ground that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the ground that any requirement of that Section had not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within six weeks of 6th December 2024, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE COUNCIL
PROPOSES TO INTRODUCE
NO WAITING AT ANY TIME ON CHESTNUT AVENUE
AND OBELISK WAY, SILSOE
Reason for proposal: Please note these markings are already in place on the ground, however they are unenforceable as there is no corresponding Traffic Regulation Order. We are carrying out a retrospective consultation for these waiting restrictions in order to fulfil the legal obligations required to create a supporting Traffic Regulation Order, so that our Parking Team can enforce these markings.
Effect of the Order:
To introduce No Waiting at any time on the following length of road in Silsoe:-
1. Chestnut Avenue, east side, from a point approximately 1 metre north of the north flank wall of Nos.40-50 Chestnut Avenue, extending in a northerly direction for approximately 15 metres.
2. Chestnut Avenue, east side, from a point approximately 4 metres north of the south flank wall of Nos.40-50 Chestnut Avenue, extending in a southerly direction to a point approximately 2 metres south of the north flank wall of Nos.28-38 Chestnut Avenue.
3. Obelisk Way, north side, from its junction with Chestnut Avenue, extending in an easterly direction to a point approximately 19 metres west of the west flank wall of No.26 Obelisk Way.
4. Obelisk Way, south side, from its junction with Chestnut Avenue, extending in an easterly direction to a point approximately 7 metres west of the west flank wall of No.23 Obelisk Way.
