What is happening?
Temporary Closure And Restriction Of Various Roads (Bishops Cleeve Parish) Tewkesbury Borough
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to
temporarily close and restrict part of the roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

The reason for the said closures and restrictions is for new water connection works.
The said roads are expected to be closed and restricted from 08:00hrs on 15th January 2025 until 18:00hs on 17th January 2025 only or until the said works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.
Alternative Route – as signed on site. Pedestrian access to premises on or next to the road, and emergency access, will be maintained.

Temporary Road And Footway Closure Of C364 Pirton Lane (Churchdown Parish) Tewkesbury Borough
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C364 Pirton Lane Road, (including the footway) from its junction with Yew Tree Way to its junction with Pirton Meadow, for a total distance of approximately 310 metres.
The reason for the said intended closure is for bridge joint installation works.
The said road and footway is expected to be closed from 09:30hrs on 13th January 2025 until 15:30hrs on 17th January 2025 only or until the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. Alternative Route – as signed on site. Emergency access will be maintained. Pedestrian access will not be maintained, as the said footway will be under construction. However, a pedestrian diversion will be installed. DATED: 19th December 2024.

Temporary Road Closure 483511 Rea Lane (Westgate Ward) Gloucester City
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 483511 Rea Lane Road from its junction with ‘Strawberry Fields’ for a distance of approximately 225 metres.
The reason for the closure is for pole replacement works.

Temporary Closure Of Public Footpath Abc 4 (Bishops Cleeve Parish) (Tewkesbury Borough)
NOTICE is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport has extended the Order to close temporarily under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 (as amended) part of Public Footpath ABC 4 in the Parish of Bishops Cleeve from a point on Road A435 running in a generally southerly direction for approximately 240 metres to its junction with Road A435.
The said footpath falls within Bishops Cleeve Parish in Tewkesbury Borough, within the County of Gloucestershire.
The said closure is to facilitate safe construction works for a residential development.
The Order came into force on the 9th January 2023, and subsequently was extended by the Secretary of State until 9th January 2025. The said works have still not been completed and, given the ongoing safety concerns, the Secretary of State has now granted a further extension of the said Order until the 09 July 2026 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.

Temporary Closure Of 491045 High Street Road And Footway (All Saints & College Wards) Cheltenham Borough
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 491045 High Street Road and footway from outside the property known as ’70-72 High Street’ to outside the property known as ’109 High Street’ for a distance of approximately 162 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works to reconstruct the footway and for the removal and reconstruction of speed humps.

Temporary Closure And Restriction Of C9050 Swindon Lane (Swindon Parish) Cheltenham Borough
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close and restrict part of the C9050 Swindon Lane Road from Windyridge Lane Junction of Farm Lane to its junction with Wymans Lane for a distance of approximately 600 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works by National Grid.
The said road is expected to be closed and restricted from 20:00hrs on 14th January 2025 until 06:00hrs on 15th January 2025 only or until the said works are completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.
There will be no stopping or waiting permitted throughout the duration of the works.

Temporary Closure Of 490479 Grove Street (Lansdown Ward) Cheltenham Borough
Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the 490479 Grove Street Road from the junction of ‘New Street’ to the junction of ‘High Street’ for a distance of approximately 125 metres.
The reason for the said closure is for works by Severn Trent Water.
