What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE C704 BUXHALL ROAD, HIGH ROAD AND PURPLE HILL, GREAT FINBOROUGH AND BUXHALL
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the following roads in the following phases:
1. the C704 Buxhall Road, Great Flnborough and C704 High Road, Buxhall 2.the C704 Purple Hill, Buxhall.
This is to facilitate carriageway patching. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Lower Road, Heron Hill, Lower Road, Onehouse, the B1115 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from:
1.18/12/2024 from 9.30am-3pm
2.19/12/2024 - 20/12/2024 from 8am - 4pm.
With a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C661 FRONT STREET, OUSDEN
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C661 Front Street, Ousden from the B1085 to Rockall to facilitate pre surface dressing works. Other co-ordinated works may also
take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Bury Road, Dunstall Green Road, Dunstall Green, Dalham Road, Denham Road, the B1085 and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate from 18/12/2024 -20/12/2024 from 8am - 4pm with a further closure scheduled for associated works. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Suffolk Highways. Tel: 0345 606 6171.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE AND SUSPENSION OF 7.5 TONNE WEIGHT RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE C450 IPSWICH ROAD AND THE 1113 IPSWICH ROAD, WILLISHAM AND NEEDHAM MARKET
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C450 Ipswich Road, Willisham from Prospect House to no. 2 to facilitate new telecommunications service. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be Ipswich Road, Main Road NetUestead, Main Road Somersham, Somersham Road Little Blakenham, Leather Bottle Hill, Somersham Road Bramford, the B1113, the B1078, Willisham Road, Main Road Nettlestead, Willisham Hall Road and vice versa.
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C450 Ipswich Road, Willisham from Prospect House to no. 2 to facilitate new telecommunications service. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Ipswich Road, Main Road NetUestead, Main Road Somersham, Somersham Road Little Blakenham, Leather Bottle Hill, Somersham Road Bramford, the B1113, the B1078, Willisham Road, Main Road Nettlestead, Willisham Hall Road and vice versa.
For the duration of this closure there will also be a temporary suspension of the 7.5 tonnes weight restriction on the B1113 Ipswich Road, Needham Market from the junction with Grinstead Hill to the junction with the B1078. It is intended that these measures will operate on 18/12/2024 from 9.30am - 2.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C424 BERGHOLT ROAD, BENTLEY
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C424 Bergholt Road, Bentley from no. 1 to The Briar to facilitate pole replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Bergholt Road, Capel Road. Station Road, the A137, the B1070, Straight Road, East End Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on 18/12/2024 from 10am - 4pm. If necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to TBF Traffic. Tel: (01449) 490865.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C324 PLAYFORD MOUNT AND C330 BUTTS ROAD, PLAYFORD
Suffolk County Council has made an order closing the C324 Playford Mount, Playford from the junction with Butts Road to dementis Cottage and the C330 Butts Road, Playford from the junction with Playford Road to the junction with Bransons Lane to facilitate the installation of light poles. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.
The diversion route will be Playford Road, The Street, Lodge Road, Rosery Lane, Butts Road, Playford Mount and vice versa.

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (BOROUGH OF IPSWICH) (WESTERFIELD ROAD) (B1077) (30MPH SPEED LIMIT EXTENSION AND REVOCATION) ORDER 202-
Suffdlk County Council proposes to make the above-named order for the District of Ipswich, under section 84(1 )(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The effect of this would be to:
- extend the current 30mph speed limit on Westerfield Road (B1077) to replace the 40mph speed limit that exists along part of Westerfield Road (B1077) from a point in line with the northern boundary of property no. 169 in a northern direction for a total distance of 625 metres. The resulting combined 30mph speed limit will be from its junction with A1214 in a northern direction to a point in line with the northern boundary of Elm Cottage for a total distance of 2240 metres
- remove the 40mph speed restriction along a portion of Westerfield Road (B1077) by revoking the order known as Ipswich Borough Council (20mph Speed Limit, 30mph Speed Limit, 40mph Speed Limit) (Heavy Commercial Vehicles Exceeding 7.5 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight, Except Buses -Prohibition of Entry) Order 2006-N3 dated 20/12/2007.

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF ST EDMUNDSBURY) (STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED) ORDER 2019
(HAVERHILL) (CHALKSTONE WAY) (C670) (DONOVAN WAY) (CHISNELL ROAD) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) (VARIATION NO.10) ORDER 202-
Suffolk County Council proposes to make the above order under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3) 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would replace revision 0 of the Map Tiles bearing the reference GG29 and GH29 with the amended revision 1 of the Map Tiles bearing the same reference, into the above named 2019 order. The effect of this would be to introduce:
- a 'no stopping at any time' restriction (except buses) on the north side of Chalkstone Way (C670) in an easterly direction from a point 7m south-east from the centre of the junction with Westfield Primary Academy to south-east for a total distance of 25m
- the existing 'no waiting at any time' restriction on Chalkstone Way (C670) which currently ends at a point 28m southeast from the centre of the four-way roundabout with Donovan Way and Millfields Way (ZU6840) will be extended from this point on both sides of the road in a southeasterly direction for a total distance of 46m
- a 'no waiting at any time' restriction on both sides of Donovan Way from its junction with Chalkstone Way (C670) for a distance of 230m in a northeasterly direction
- a 'no waiting at any time' restriction on both sides of Chisnell Road from its junction with Donovan Way for a distance of 410m in a southeasterly direction, then, following
the bend, in a northeasterly direction.
Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload; for building, industrial or demolition works; for the maintenance of the road or its services; for emergency services, and for fulfilling statutory duties. There are the usual exemptions for Blue Badge holders.
Suffolk County Council previously advertised this proposal on 23/10/2024, with the consultation period ending on 13/11/2024. However, this proposal is being re-advertised as amendments have been made to Map Tile GG29 to better clarify the road names. Any representations received during the previous consultation will be considered at the end of the current consultation period. SUFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (PARISH OF RENDLESHAM) (WOODBRIDGE ROAD) (B1069) (THE STREET) (A1152) (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT EXTENSION) ORDER 202-
Suffdlk County Council proposes to make the above-named order for the Parish of Rendlesham, under section 84(1 Ma) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The effect of this would be to:
- extend the current 40mph speed limit on The Street (A1152) from a point 51 metres south-west of the junction of the roundabout for a distance of 625 metres in a north easterly direction onto Woodbridge Road (B1069) to cover the extent of the new housing development.
