ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)
(Wide Lane/Dewsbury Road, Morley, Leeds) (Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s) for combined sewer overflow replacement Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: no person shall cause or permit: any vehicle to travel along the slip road on Wide Lane, Morley, Leeds in the Morley South Ward at its junction with Dewsbury Road; any vehicle to travel in excess of 40mph along Dewsbury Road, Morley, Leeds in the Morley South Ward for a distance of 150m across it’s junction with Wide Lane. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Wide Lane, Dewsbury Road. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday13th January 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 30th May 2025. The closure will be in place for 24hrs on each day. M Green.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways for Works to install district heating pipework Leeds City Council intends in not less than 7 days to make an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Byron Street and Bridge Street, Leeds in the Little London & Woodhouse Ward between its junction with Leylands Road to outside Leeds College of Building. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Leylands Road, Skinner Lane, North Street, Sheepscar Street South, Clay Pit Lane, Elmwood Lane, Lovell Park Road, Grafton Street and vice versa. Leylands Road, Skinner Lane, Sheepscar Grove, Benson Street, Sheepscar Street South, Regent Street, Eastgate, Bridge Street and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 13th January 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are proposed to be executed on or near the undermentioned highways by Network Rail, Leeds City Council has made an Order, the effect of which will be that: no person shall cause any vehicles to proceed along any length of road specified on Schedule 1 below nor wait on any length of road specified in Schedule 2 hereto; PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the relevant work. DIVERSIONARY ROUTES: Halton Moor Road. Halton Moor Avenue, Selby Road, York Road. York Road, Selby Road, Kyffin Avenue, Carden Avenue. Neville Road, Halton Moor Avenue, Halton Moor Road. (Mill Lane & Manor Street, Otley)
(Temporary Restriction of Traffic & Suspension of One-Way Traffic Flow) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to bridge construction works, Leeds City Council has today made an Order, the effect of which is that: 1. No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed on Mill La, between Bridge St and Manor St (at any time when road closure is in place). 2. No person shall cause any vehicle to wait on Mill Lane (both sides); between Bridge Street and Manor St or on Manor St (both side) for a distance of 30m from Mill Lane (at any time when the restriction is signed); Provided That such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the relevant work. 3. The existing One-Way Order at the junction of Manor St/Mill La will also be temporarily suspended at any time when the closure of Mill Lane is in place. Diversionary Routes for vehicles affected by the above will be available via Bridge St, Cattle Market St, North Parade and Manor St and also via Manor St, North Parade, Courthouse St and Bridge St. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highways (Road closure to allow safe digging) Leeds City Council has made an Order the effect of which will be that: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Half Mile Lane, Stanningley, Leeds in the Bramley & Stanningley Ward between the substation and the junction with Stanningley Road. A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Half Mile Lane, Fernbank Avenue, Intake Lane, Swinnow Lane, Stanningley Road and vice versa. Essential access to premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. The Order is intended to come into operation on Monday 13th January 2025 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. Leeds City Council is the traffic authority for the Leeds Metropolitan District and works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the under mentioned highway(s). In exercise of its powers under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the Council hereby make the following Emergency Notice. The effect of which will be: No person shall cause or permit any vehicle to travel along Church Avenue, Gildersome, Leeds in the Morley North Ward between its junctions with Springbank Road and Spring Avenue.A diversionary route for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via: Spring Avenue, Springbank Road, Church Avenue and vice versa. Essential access to and from premises and for emergency vehicles will be maintained. This emergency closure is necessary to maintain public safety following emergency works.
