Glasgow Rd (A8) & Ingliston Interchange - Temporary Road Restriction & Traffic Regulation

(GLASGOW ROAD (A8) & INGLISTON INTERCHANGE)
(TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION)
ORDER 2024 – TEMP/24/209

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works, no person shall: (a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle between 7.30pm & 6.30am of the following day DAILY on: (i) Glasgow Rd (A8)/Ingliston Interchange, eastbound off-slip towards Ingliston Interchange northmost roundabout in its entirety; (ii) Ingliston Interchange: (1) westbound off-slip from Glasgow Rd (A8) towards Ingliston Interchange southmost roundabout in its entirety; & (2) westbound on-slip from southmost roundabout towards Glasgow Rd (A8) in its entirety; & (iii) Ingliston Interchange/Eastfield Rd (northmost roundabout only), from the point the southern kerbline of the eastbound off-slip from Glasgow Rd (A8)/Ingliston Interchange meets the roundabout, northwards and south-eastwards to the point the roundabout meets the southern kerbline of the eastbound on-slip to Ingliston Interchange/Glasgow Rd (A8); & (b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on both sides of: (i) Glasgow Rd (A8)/Ingliston Interchange, eastbound off-slip towards Ingliston Interchange northmost roundabout in its entirety; (ii) Ingliston Interchange: (1) both dumbbell roundabouts in their entirety; (2) westbound off-slip from Glasgow Rd (A8) towards Ingliston Interchange southmost roundabout in its entirety; & (3) westbound on-slip towards Glasgow Rd (A8) in its entirety. The following restrictions shall be suspended: prohibition of entry & bus lanes on Eastfield Rd & Ingliston P&R, to facilitate alternative routes. The alternative routes for vehicular traffic are via: (1) Glasgow Rd (A8) westbound, Newbridge Roundabout, Glasgow Rd (A8) eastbound, Ingliston Rd, Fairview Rd, Eastfield Rd & Ingliston Park & Ride; (2) Glasgow Rd (A8) eastbound, Ingliston Rd, Fairview Rd, Eastfield Rd & Ingliston Park & Ride; or (3) Glasgow Rd (A8) eastbound, Gogar Roundabout, Glasgow Rd (A8) westbound, and then same as (1) above.

The order shall have effect from 6/1/25 to 31/1/25.
