What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC ST STEPHEN ROAD/
ST WILFRED ROAD, BRIDLINGTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
St Stephen Road/St Wilfred Road, Bridlington between
the junctions of St Andrew Road and St Thomas Road
commencing 6 January 2025 to allow carriageway
maintenance works to be carried out safely.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months,
but it is anticipated that the works will be completed
22 January 2025. The road closure will be between
08.00 hours until 17.00 hours. The alternative route
for traffic affected by the road closure will be via
St Thomas Road, St Andrew Road and vice versa.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles, residents and
pedestrians. Further information can be obtained from
