What is happening?

CITY OF DONCASTER COUNCIL

make an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the road and the effect
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in that length
of Church Street at Thorne in the City of Doncaster District
and suspend the One Way Order as described in the
Schedule to this notice on the dates and times referred to in
the said Schedule.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst works to remove signage are undertaken.
NOTICE is also given that the alternative route for vehicles
affected by the Order is via Stonegate, Bridge Street,
Silver Street.

The Proposed Order will continue in force for one day or until
the works which it is proposed to carry out in or near the said
road have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

Location
1) Close Church Street, Thorne from its junction with Silver
Street for a distance of 20 meters in a north easterly direction.
2) Suspend the One Way access on Church Street, Thorne.

EXTENSION NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that the above named Order made by
City of Doncaster Council on the 30th day of May 2024 which
came into force on the 10th day of June 2024 has been
continued in force with the approval of the Secretary of State
for Transport under section 15(3) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 up to and including the
30th day of May 2025 . The Order would otherwise have
expired on the 9th day of December 2024.
The Order was made to ensure the safety of the public and
the workforce whilst a new rising main is installed.
Reason for the extension of the temporary order is that there
has been a delay in receiving bespoke air valves for the
pipeline, this in turn has caused a delay in reinstating the
public footpath so cannot be reopened for the public to use.
NOTICE is also given that there is no alternative route for
pedestrians affected by the Order.
The order will continue in force up to and including the day of
or until the works which it is proposed to carry out in the said
public footpath have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
If the works are not completed within the time stated the
Order may be further extended with the approval of the
Secretary of State for Transport. (PO1018)

0570 and proceeding in a north-easterly direction for 1.6km
to the end of Bentley Common Lane at grid reference

NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Doncaster Council
have made an Order under Section 14 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic
(Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 because works are being
or proposed to be executed on or near the public footpath
and the effect will be to prohibit any pedestrian from
proceeding in that length of Public Footpath Kirk Bramwith
Number 4 in the City of Doncaster District as described in the
Schedule from the 6th day of January 2025.
Reason for closure: To ensure the safety of the public and the
workforce whilst embankment repair works are carried out.
NOTICE is also given that there is no alternative route for
pedestrians affected by the Order.
