What is happening?

C76 HOCKETWELL TO CRASTER JUNCTION CRASTER
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council intends to make an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C76 Hocketwell to Craster Junction Craster from its junction with the C74 heading in a south westerly direction for a length of 480 metres in the County of Northumberland.

The Order is to be effective from the 16th January 2025 until the 16th July 2025.

It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 16th January 2025 until the 17th January 2025 between the hours of 08:00 until 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 16th July 2025.

An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being C74, U3014 and vice-versa and should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and structural patching. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
