C96 HIGH BUSTON MAIN STREET BIRLING
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER NUMBER 4 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C96 High Buston Main Street Birling from its junction with the A1068 heading in a westerly direction for a length of 752 metres in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 13th January 2025 until the 31st January 2025.
It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 13th January 2025 until the 24th January 2025 between the hours of 09:00 until 15:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 31st January 2025.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the A1068, C94, U3025, C96 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Core Highways on behalf of Network Rail to tarmac the bell mouth on the new access road to the Network Rail compound. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
