What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC NORTH STREET,
BRIDLINGTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which
will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
North Street, Bridlington to include the suspension of
parking bays under East Riding of Yorkshire Council
(On Street Parking and Revocation) (Civil Enforcement)
Order 2021, from outside number 88 to the junction
of Chapel Street commencing 6 January 2025 to allow
for a new electrical connection to be installed safely.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to
be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the
safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months,
but it is anticipated that the works will be completed
28 March 2025. The alternative route for traffic
affected by the road closure will be via Chapel Street,
Marshall Avenue, Travis Street and North Street.
One way system will be revoked along North Street.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of
closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access
will be maintained for emergency vehicles, residents and
pedestrians. Access to the pay and display car park will
be maintained throughout the works.
