What is happening?

U1076 VILLAGE ROAD WOOLER
(TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on the following sections of highways in Wooler in the County of Northumberland.
The Order is to be effective from the 13th January 2025 until the 24th January 2025.
C50 Humbleton Junction To Burnhouse Road A from its junction with the A697 heading south eastwards for a distance of 700 metres.
U1076 Humbleton Village Road from its junction with the A697 heading southwards for a distance of 550 metres.
It is expected that the roads will only be closed from the 13th January 2025 until the 17th January 2025 and that the roads will be closed at all times during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 24th January 2025.
An alternative route will be available for use whilst the TTRO is in force being via the U1076, C50, Ryecroft Way, A697 and vice-versa.
Should the need arise changes may be made to the alternative routes, where possible these changes will be signposted accordingly.

The closure has been requested by Go Fibre due to overlaying for network fibre. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
