Worden Lane - Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic
What is happening?
THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(PART OF PUBLIC FOOTPATH FP0701021 LEYLAND, SOUTH RIBBLE BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for Transport has agreed to the above Order, which was due to expire on the 26th December, 2024, remaining in force until the 26th June, 2025, or until any necessary works are completed within this period. The effect of which is to temporarily prohibit all traffic from proceeding over that length of Public Footpath, indicated below:-
That part of Public Footpath FP0701021, Leyland, from point A (GR 353872 421331) to point B (GR 353995 421331) near to Worden Lane (U5481), a total distance of approximately 125 metres.
The temporary closure is necessary because of then likelihood of danger to the public.
Access for pedestrians to any premises situated on or adjacent to the footpath, or to any other premises accessible for pedestrians from, and only from, the footpath, will be maintained at all times.
Nothing in the order shall apply to emergency service vehicles or to those undertaking any necessary works.
