BOOTHFERRY ROAD
LEVEL CROSSING, GOOLE
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Boothferry Road Level Crossing, Goole and 20 metres either side of the level crossing commencing 22 January 2025 at
23.45 hours until 23 January 2025 at 05.30 hours for the purposes of “level crossing uplift for rail inspections through the crossing” works.
The road closure is necessary to enable the works to be carried out in a manner consistent with
ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within six hours.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Mariners Street, Stanhope Street, Lower Bridge Street, Bridge Street, Normandy Way, Normandy Way Roundabout, Andersen Road, A614, Rawcliffe Road, Boothferry Road, Goole CP,
Goole South Ward, Goole North Ward.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic without exception and pedestrians.
