Surrey County Council Various Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Orders

What is happening?

THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

Guildford Road (D7304) Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 16 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the

above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Guildford Road (D7304) Woking as extends from its junction with the unnamed road to the north of the property known as Yarrow Field to outside of the property know as Little Yarrow. Alternative Route – Guildford Road, Egley Road (A320) and Guildford Road.

The Order is required to allow Affinity Water to carry out stop

tap and boundary box works and all associated works which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 8:00am and 4:00pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 07 January 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained either side of the closure.

Scotland Bridge Road (C130) Addlestone and Camphill Road (C130) West Byfleet Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 18 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the

above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in that length of

(a) Scotland Bridge Road (C130) Addlestone as extends

from its junction with (D3072) Braeside to its junction with (C130) Camphill Road; and (b) Camphill Road (C130) West Byfleet as extends from its junction with (C130) Scotland Bridge Road to its junction with (X6105) Camphill Industrial Estate. Alternative Route for vehicles below

2.8m: (1) Camphill Road, (A245) Old Woking Road, (A245)

Sheerwater Road, (B385) Woodham Lane, and Scotland Bridge Road, or this route in reverse. Alternative Route for vehicles above 2.8m: (2) Camphill Road, Claremont Road, Woodlands Avenue, (A245) Sheerwater Road, (B385) Woodham Lane, and Scotland Bridge Road, or this route in reverse. This Order is to facilitate footbridge/bridge investigation and maintenance works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 months, during non-school days only, during the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 January 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no access through the closure while works are in place, and all traffic will be required to use the signed diversion routes. No sole access will be affected by this closure.

Woodlands Avenue (D3677) West Byfleet

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

On 18 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Woodlands Avenue (D3677) West Byfleet as extends from its junction with (A245) Sheerwater Road north- eastwards for a distance of 15 metres. Alternative Route – Woodlands Road; Hollies Avenue; and A245 Sheerwater Road or this same route in reverse. The Order is required to allow new mains electrical connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SOS Electricals & Services Ltd within the length of road described in this notice. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible over five days between the hours of 8am and 4pm within the 12-month period of operation  of  the Temporary  Order  that  commences  on 14 January 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians, dismounted cyclists, residents and the emergency services will be maintained at all times.

Ash Road (D3695) Woking Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above-

mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ash Road (D3695) Woking which extends from its junction with Laburnum Road (D3695) to the northwestern property boundary line of “7 Ash Road”.

Alternative Route – Laburnum Road (D3695), Hawthorn

Road (D3694) and Ash Road (D3695).

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out replacement of telegraph pole, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 9:00am and 5:00pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 January 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
