What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN HEMPSTEAD LANE, POTTEN END/

BERKHAMSTED ROAD, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of

Hempstead Lane, Potten End/Berkhamsted Road, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with The Common south eastwards to its junction with Pouchen End Lane, a distance of approximately 1174m (“the length of Roads”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via The Common, Water End Road, Potten End Hill, B440 Leighton Buzzard Road, Galley Hill, Boxted Road and Berkhamsted Road.

ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of Roads whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 17 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WOODLANDS AVENUE, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2025

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Woodlands Avenue, Berkhamsted from its junction with Hazel Road south westwards to its junction with Briar Way, a distance of approximately 65m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Hazel Road and Briar Way. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 21 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF DODDS LANE, GREAT GADDESDEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of

Dodds Lane, Great Gaddesden from its junction with Great Gaddesden Public Footpath No.054 south westwards for a distance of approximately 179 metres (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Dodds Lane, Cupid Green Lane, St Agnells Lane, A4147 Link Road, Piccotts End and Dodds Lane. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WATER LANE/MILL STREET, BERKHAMSTED) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Water Lane/Mill Street, Berkhamsted from a point 110m north east of its junction with A4251 High Street north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 38m (“the length of Roads”).

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because drainage connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the length of Roads. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 23 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the length of Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING

RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN BERKHAMSTED,

HEMEL HEMPSTEAD AND REDBOURN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”) and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Chesham Road, Berkhamsted from its junction with the A416 Kingshill Way roundabout north eastwards to its junction with Acacia Grove, a distance of approximately 510m.

An alternative route will be via A416 (Kingshill Way/Kings Road), A4251 High Street and Chesham Road  or via (Kingshill Way/ Kings Road), A4251 High Street, Three Close Lane, Beech Drive, Hilltop Road and Chesham Road.

2. that length of Three Cherry Trees Lane, Hemel Hempstead/Cherry Tree Lane, Redbourn from its junction with Boundary Way south eastwards and north eastwards to its junction with the Green Lane/Hogg End Lane roundabout, a distance of approximately 756m.

An alternative route will be via Three Cherry Trees Lane, Swallowdale Lane, A4147 Maylands Avenue, A414 Breakspear Way and Green Lane

3.  that length of Boundary Way, Hemel Hempstead from a point 175m south east of its junction with Grovelands south eastwards for a distance of approximately 643m.

An alternative route will be via Three Cherry Trees Lane, Swallowdale Lane, A4147 Maylands Avenue, A414 Breakspear Way, Green Lane and Boundary Way.

4.  that length of Boundary Way, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with Boundary Way roundabout south westwards for its entire length. There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

5. that length of Boundary Way roundabout, Hemel Hempstead from its westernmost junction with Boundary Way clockwise for its entire length.

An alternative route will be via Three Cherry Trees Lane, Swallowdale Lane, A4147 Maylands Avenue, A414 Breakspear Way, Green Lane and Boundary Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF VENUS HILL, FLAUNDEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Venus Hill, Flaunden from a point 138m north west of its junction with Flaunden Lane north westwards for a distance of approximately 170m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Venus Hill, Flaunden Lane, Hogpits Bottom, Long Lane and Venus Hill. The Order is needed because sewer connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A41 TWO WATERS WAY, HEMEL HEMPSTEAD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A41 Two Waters Way, Hemel Hempstead from its junction with A4251

London Road south westwards to its junction with the A41 (unnamed road)/A41 Two Waters Way intersection, a distance of approximately 545m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via A4251 London Road and A41 (unnamed road).

The Order is needed because bridge maintenance and associated works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 2 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.
