What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION
OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
PART OF MILL LANE, ELLERTON
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire
Council intends not less than seven days from the date
of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will
be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along part
of Mill Lane, Ellerton during the following period:
Tuesday 14 January 2025 until Thursday 16 January
2025 (working hours 08.00 hours until 17.00 hours).
The road closure is necessary to enable the new fibre
installation works to be carried out in a manner
consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated
that the works will be completed within three days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road
closure will be via Mill Lane, Long Rampart, Ellerton
Common Lane and Main Street. The diversion route
will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be
closed to all traffic, but access will be maintained for
residents and emergency vehicles up to the point of the
closure, but not through it, except for pedestrians.
