What is happening?
THE EAST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE COUNCIL
(DEANS LANE, POCKLINGTON)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has made an Order
the effect of which is to prohibit any person from
causing any vehicle to proceed along Deans Lane,
Pocklington. The reason for the closure is to enable
the proposed carriageway maintenance works, to be
carried out and completed in a manner consistent
with ensuring the safety of the public. It is anticipated
that the works will be completed by 31 March 2025.
There is no alternative route available for traffic
affected by the Order. The road will be closed to all
traffic but access will be maintained for residents and
emergency vehicles up to the point of closure, but not
through it, except for pedestrians.
The Order will commence 6 January 2025 and
continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen
months or until the works which it is proposed to
carry out have been completed, whichever is the
earlier.
