West Wickham Road, Balsham (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-060

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along West Wickham Road, Balsham as lies between number 45 and The Orchard.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Balsham Road, West Wickham – High Street Southern Spur – High Street – Burton End – Burton End, West Wratting – The Common – High Street – B1052 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 15 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 14 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 15 January 2025.


Burgess Road, Waterbeach (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-057

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Burgess Road, Waterbeach as lies between Hatley Court Haven and Pieces Terrace.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate patching and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 18 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 17 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 18:30hrs 18 January to 19 January 2025.


Long Lane, Linton (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-092

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Long Lane, Linton as lies between numbers 1 and 12.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate stop tap, boundary box installation and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 6 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 5 July 2025 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6 January and 13 January 2025.


Cambourne Footpath 1 & Cambourne Bridleway 2, Cambourne (Temporary Prohibition Of Use) Order 2025-093

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Cambourne Footpath 1 & Cambourne Bridleway 2, Cambourne as lies between Cambourne Village College and Sheepfold Lane.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 27 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 26 July 2025 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 27 January and 7 February 2025.


Station Road, Stow Cum Quy (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-094 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Station Road, Stow Cum Quy as
lies between number 32 and Quy Hall.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 27 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 26 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs 27 January to 31 January 2025.


Cycleway From Church Road To Newmarket Road, Stow Cum Quy (Temporary Suspension Of Cycle Lane) Order 2025-095

Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Cycleway From Church Road
To Newmarket Road, Stow Cum Quy as lies between the A14 and the A1303.

During the period this Order remains in force The County of Cambridgeshire (Newmarket Road, A1303, Bottisham and Stow Cum Quy) (Cycle Tracks) Order 1984; District of South Cambridgeshire, Parishes of Bottisham and Stow Cum Quy, That length of footway on the northern side of Newmarket Road (A1303) from its junction with Bell Road, Bottisham in a westerly direction to its junction with Church Road, Stow cum Quy. 

That length of footway running in a northwesterly direction along the south western side of Stow cum Quy church from Newmarket Road to Church Road, Stow cum Quy is hereby suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 27 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 26 July 2026 whichever is the earlier.

This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Cycleway From Church Road To Newmarket Road, Stow Cum Quy are in progress. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 27 January to 29 January 2025


Swavesey Footpath 2, Swavesey (Temporary Prohibition Of Use) Order 2025-082

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Swavesey Footpath 2, Swavesey as lies between Swavesey Footpath 3 and Swavesey Footpath 6.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate vegetation, drainage management and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 30 June 2025 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 16:00hrs 1 January to 31 March 2025.


Cambourne Footpath 1, Cambourne (Temporary Prohibition Of Use) Order 2025-084

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Cambourne Footpath 1, Cambourne as lies between Cambourne Village College and Cambourne Bridleway 2.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas main diversion and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 13 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 12 July 2025 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 13 January and 24 January 2025.


Kendal Way, Cambridge (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-085

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Kendal Way, Cambridge as lies between number 5 and the A1309. 

The alternative route for vehicles is via Kendal Way – Green End Road – A1309 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 13 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 12 July 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 13 January and 24 January 2025.

Newmarket Road (A1303), Bottisham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2025-086

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Newmarket Road (A1303), Bottisham as lies between Fairfield House and Heath Road.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 July 2025 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 18:30hrs 2 January to 7 February 2025.


Newmarket Road (A1303), Bottisham (Temporary 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2025-087

Is to impose a 40mph speed limit along Newmarket Road (A1303), Bottisham as lies between Fairfield House and Heath Road.

The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 July 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 18:30hrs 2 January to 7 February 2025.


Fen Drayton Road, Swavesey (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-091

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fen Drayton Road, Swavesey as lies between Swavesey Bridleway 19 and Folly Road.

Access will be maintained to properties affected by this order.

The alternative route for vehicles is via School Lane – Middle Watch – Boxworth End – Rose And Crown Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 6 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 5 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6 January 2025 and 17 January 2025.


Fulbourn Bridleway 16, Fulbourn (Temporary Prohibition Of Use) Order 2025-115

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Fulbourn Bridleway 16, Fulbourn as lies between Yarrow Road and Fulbourn Old Drift (East).

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footpath resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 13 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 12 July 2025 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 13 January 2025 and 22 January 2025.


Clayhithe Road, Waterbeach (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-117

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Clayhithe Road, Waterbeach as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Station Road – Chapel Street – Cambridge Road (C210) – Car Dyke Road – A10 – A14 – Horningsea Road (C210), Horningsea – High Street – Clayhithe Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 21 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 20 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 00:01hrs and 04:30hrs 21 January 2025.


Fen Road, Cambridge (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-118

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fen Road, Cambridge as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 00:01hrs and 08:00hrs 12 January 2025.


South Street, Comberton (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-098 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along South Street, Comberton as lies between the B1046 and Royston Lane.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Swaynes Lane – B1046 – South Street and vice versa or via South Street – Royston Lane – Comberton Road, Little Eversden – A603 – B1046 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 27 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 26 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 27 January to 29 January 2025. 


St Matthews Court, Cambridge (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-101

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along St Matthews Court, Cambridge as lies between Petworth Street and Geldart Street.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Petworth Street – Sturton Street – Geldart Street and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 13 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 12 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 13 January and 24 January 2025.

Worts Causeway, Cambridge (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-102 

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Worts Causeway, Cambridge as lies between number 22 and Lime Kilne Road.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Cherry Hinton Road, Great Shelford – A1307 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate rising main installation and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 2 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 1 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 16:00hrs 2 January to 12 January 2025.


Swaynes Lane, Comberton (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic)
Order 2025-105

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Swaynes Lane, Comberton as lies between the B1046 and South Street.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1046 – South Street – Swaynes Lane and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 29 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 28 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 29 January to 11 February 2025. 


Cameron Road, Cambridge (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-110

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cameron Road, Cambridge as lies between Crathern Way and Wynford Way.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Northfields Avenue – Crowland Way – Nuns Way – Cameron Road and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connections and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 20 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 19 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20 January and 31 January 2025.


Fulbourn Old Drift, Fulbourn (Temporary Prohibition  Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-097

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fulbourn Old Drift, Fulbourn as lies between Capital Park and Hinton Road.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Fulbourn Old Drift – Hinton Road – Cambridge Road – Hospital Road and vice versa. 

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 27 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 26 July 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 17:00hrs 27 January to 29 January 2025.

High Street, Longstowe (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-123

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, Longstowe as lies between Longstowe Road and 63 High Street.

The alternative route for vehicles is via B1046 – A1198 – A428 – B1040 – B1046 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 13 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 12 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

 It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 13 January 2025 and 7 February 2025.


Hauxton Road And High Street, Little Shelford (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-126

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Hauxton Road and High Street, Little Shelford as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Church Road – A10 – B1368 – Shelford Road, Harston – Newton Road, Little Shelford and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 8 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 7 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 00:01hrs and 04:30hrs 8 January 2025.


Conington Road, Conington (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-127

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Conington Road, Conington as lies between High Street and Conington Road.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Elsworth Road – Conington Road, Elsworth – Boxworth Road – Elsworth Road, Boxworth – High Street – Local Access Road – A1307 – Westbound Off Slip To Conington Road, Fenstanton – Conington Road (C181) and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 6 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 5 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6 January 2025 and 10 January 2025.


Alms Hill, Broadway And Caxton Road, Bourn (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-129

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Alms Hill and Broadway, Bourn as lies between Brook Farm House and St Neots Road and Caxton Road, Bourn as lies between Rosemary and Lavender Cottage and Alms Hill.

The alternative route for vehicles is via St Neots Road, Knapwell – St Neots Road, Bourn – St Neots Road, Caldecote – Highfields Road – Main Street – Main Street, Kingston – Toft Road – Toft Road, Bourn – Gills Hill – High Street and vice versa and Bourn Road, Caxton – Royston Road – A1198 – B1046 – Gills Hill, Bourn – High Street and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 6 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 5 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 6 January 2025 and 27 January 2025. 


Benson Street, Cambridge (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-131

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Benson Street, Cambridge as lies between Westfield Lane and Huntingdon Road.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Westfield Lane – Priory Street – A1307
and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway maintenance and improvement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 7 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 6 July 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 7 January 2025 and 8 January 2025.


Cambridge Footpath 71, Cambridge (Temporary Prohibition Of Use) Order 2025-137

Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Cambridge Footpath 71, Cambridge as lies between Cambridge Footpath 70 and Victoria Avenue. The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footpath resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 13 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 12 July 2025 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 13 January 2025 and 24 January 2025.


Twentypence Road, Cottenham (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-138

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Twentypence Road, Cottenham as lies between Twentypence Road, Wilburton and the Wooden House.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A1123 – A10 – A14 – B1049 and vice versa.
 
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 13 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 12 July 2026 whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 13 January 2025 and 17 January 2025.


Northampton Street, Cambridge and Victoria Road, Cambridge
(Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) And (Temporary Revocation Of 7.5 Tonne Weight Limit) Order 2025-141

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Northampton Street, Cambridge
as lies between Madingley Road and Castle Street.

During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No 121) Order 2002 Schedule 16 – Weight Limit Part 8 Roads and parts of road to which entry for vehicles the weight of which exceeds 7.5 tonnes is prohibited between 10pm and 7am the following day at the location and the directions stated is hereby suspended insofar as it affects Victoria Road at its junction with Histon Road from all directions and Victoria Road at its junctions with Croft Holme Lane from all directions.

The alternative route for vehicles is via A1303 – A1134 and vice versa.

The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 13 January 2025 and continue until these works have finished or on the 12 July 2026 whichever is the earlier. 

It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 13 January 2025 and 31 January 2025.


Church Street, Great Wilbraham (Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic) Order 2025-143

Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Church Street, Great Wilbraham as lies between High Street and 20 The Lanes.

The alternative route for vehicles is via Great Wilbraham Road, Great Wilbraham – Great Wilbraham Road, Little Wilbraham – Rectory Farm Road – Pit Road – Little Wilbraham Road – Little Wilbraham Road, Stow-Cum-Quay – A1303 – Airport Way, Fen Ditton – Airport Way, Teversham – Cherry Hinton Road (C233) – Gazelle Way – Yarrow Road – Yarrow Road, Fulbourn – Cambridge Road – School Lane – High Street (C232) – Church Lane – Station Road – Wilbraham Road – Wilbraham Road, Great Wilbraham – Station Road – Frog End – High Street (C232) and vice versa.
