(VARIOUS ROADS BOROUGH 
OF ASHFORD) 
(WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND STREET 
PARKING PLACES) (CONSOLIDATION) 
ORDER 2023 (AMENDMENT No.17) ORDER 2024

Notice is given that THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL acting as the Local Traffic 
Authority and in exercise of its powers under Sections 1, 2, 32, 35, 36, 45, 
46, 47, 49, 53, 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation 
Act 1984 (‘the Act’), the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling 
powers, after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with 
Part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, hereby proposed to make the following Order:-

The effect of the made Order will be to (1) Introduce a Permit Parking Area(2) 
Introduce double yellow lines on junctions and corners on the roads within the 
Permit Parking Area. The Permit Parking Area would cover the following roads:

Atherfield Drive, Romney Crescent, Hythe Crescent and Pavillion View.

Vehicles without permits will not be permitted to park on these roads.

Wednesday 18 December 2024
Any objections or other representations relating to this Order must be made in 
writing to: consultation@ashford.gov.uk or Engineering Services, International 
House, Dover Place, TN23 1HU. Any objection must specify specific 
grounds on which it is made.
Support for, or objections against the proposed scheme must be received by 
12 noon on Wednesday 15 January 2025
