HEMPSTEAD) (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2023

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (1984 Act) to introduce new restrictions in parts of Hemel Hempstead and Redbourn as specified in Schedules 1 to 5 to this Notice. The Orders will come into effect on Thursday 19 December 2024. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders may be viewed from 18 December 2024 to 29 January 2025 during office hours at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford or online at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Dacorum and looking at Ref: D01123.

Enquiries relating to the Orders should be referred to the Highways Engineer Xhemail Nuhiu concerned on tel: 0300 123 4047 or xhemail.nuhiu@hertfordshire.gov.uk. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders, or any of the provisions, on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the 1984 Act or any Instrument made under it has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to the High Court for this purpose.

SCHEDULE 1: No waiting at any time – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and accompanying plan – Parts of Buncefield Lane.

SCHEDULE 2: Prohibition of Motor Vehicles Except for Access – that section of road listed below and as set out in the Order and accompanying plan – Part of Buncefield Lane.

SCHEDULE 3: Prohibition of Right and Left Turns Except Pedal Cycles and Authorised Vehicles – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and accompanying plan –

Parts of Boundary Way and Three Cherry Trees Lane into Buncefield Lane

SCHEDULE 4: 30 mph speed limit – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and accompanying plan – Parts of Buncefield Lane, Three Cherry Trees Lane and Cherry Tree Lane.

SCHEDULE 5: 40 mph speed limit – those sections of road listed below and as set out in the Order and accompanying plan – Part of Three Cherry Trees Lane.

The making of Traffic Regulation Orders is a statutory function of the County Council. Any personal data you provide in responding to these Notices will be treated as confidential but will be shared with HCC Officers; County Councillors and contracted third parties who are involved in the statutory process. We will not share identifiable data with third parties outside of the statutory process.
