Bogmarsh Lane to Knapp Green, Little Dewchurch - Temporary Road Closure due to Cabling and Pole Works

Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order:

C1261 Bogmarsh Lane To Knapp Green, Little Dewchurch, Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the C1261 Bogmarsh Lane To Knapp Green, Little Dewchurch, near the Old Post Office. Grid Ref: 353272/231878. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the C1261 onto the U71609 onto the C1263 onto the A49 onto the C1262 onto the C1261 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to cabling and pole works and the likelihood of danger to the public whilst the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 8th of January 2025 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
