MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER_ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC141166051: The City of Manchester (Chancery Lane, Deansgate Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic & No Waiting, No Loading) Order 2025 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular movement and parking on Chancery Lane between Brown Street and Spring Gardens. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Spring Gardens, King Street, Brown Street & Brown Street, Booth Street, Fountain Street, Spring Gardens. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate the adjacent refurbishment to Hotel Gotham. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 6th January 2025 to 30th January 2026. The order shall come into operation on 6th January 2025 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months.
