What is happening?
THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT (A34 IMPROVEMENT PLAN) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has on 12 December 2024 made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the Road Traffic Act 1991 and the Traffic Management Act 2004 which came into operation on the 13 December 2024. The effect of the Order will be to introduce Prohibition of Waiting Broadway, Both Sides; From its intersection with the projected south western kerbline of Wilmslow Road in a south westerly direction for a distance of 53 metres. Wilmslow Road, West Side; from a point 52 metres south of the projected south eastern kerbline of Broadway in a north western direction to a point 30 metres north west of the projected north western kerbline of Broadway. Wilmslow Road,East Side; From a point 24 metres south east from the projected southern kerbline of Grange Park Road in a South easterly and then southerly direction for a distance of 136 metres. Any person wishing to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or the Road Traffic Act 1991, or that a requirement of the Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
