Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

MAIDSTONE AREA

 

A229 Loose Road, Loose, ME15 6EA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow frame and cover works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A229 Loose Road, Loose, on or after 7th January 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 351, between the hours of 22:30 and 06:00 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via A229 Loose Road, A229 Linton Road, A229 Linton Hill, A229 Staplehurst Road, A229 Maidstone Road, A229 Station Road, A229 High Street, A229 Cranbrook Road, A229 Knoxbridge, A229 Rocks Hill, A229 Camden Hill, A229 The Common, A229 Wilsley Pound, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 The Street, A262 Biddenden Road, A262 Sissinghurst Road, A262 High Street, A274 North Street, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Biddenden Road, A274 Wheeler Street, A274 Station Road, A274 High Street, A274 North Street, A274 Mill Bank, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 North Street, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Sutton Road, A229 Loose Road and vice versa.

 

Buckland Lane, Maidstone, ME16 0LY (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow electric works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Buckland Lane, Maidstone, on or after 8th January 2025 for up to 7 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Sleepers Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

There is no alternative route for any through traffic and access will be maintained when it is safe to do so.

 

Chart Road, Chart Sutton (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow overhead cabling works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chart Road, Chart Sutton, on or after 7th January 2025 for up to 1 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed at the junction with Chart Hill Road. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Chart Hill Road, Warmlake Road, A274 North Street, Chart Road and vice versa.

 

Fauchons Lane, Bearsted, ME14 4BW (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow main replacement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Fauchons Lane, Bearsted, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 26 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside 56. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Birling Avenue, The Landway, Fauchons Lane and vice versa.

 

Knowle Hill, Ulcombe, ME17 1EJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Knowle Hill, Ulcombe, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 2 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed will be closed outside number 1. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Knowle Hill, Knowle Hill Lane, Windmill Hill, Pye Corner and vice versa.

 

Lenham Road, Headcorn, TN27 9LG (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow new water connection works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lenham Road, Headcorn, on or after 6th January 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Smiths Cottage. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenham Road, Kings Road, A274 Mill Bank, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 North Street, Chartway Street, Lenham Road, Chain Gate Road, Liverton Hill, Headcorn Road, Lenham Road and vice versa.

 

Lenham Road, Kingswood, ME17 1LX (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow fibre jointing works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Lenham Road, Kingswood, on or after 22nd January 2025 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside The Diamond, between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 only. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Lenham Road, Headcorn Road, Liverton Hill, Headcorn Road, Lenham Road, Kings Road, A274 Mill Bank, A274 Maidstone Road, A274 Headcorn Road, A274 Sutton Valence Hill, A274 North Street, Chartway Street and vice versa.

 

Stockett Lane, Tovil, ME15 6AD (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow trial holes excavation works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Stockett Lane, Tovil, on or after 11th January 2025 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed outside Rowland House. To the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Stockett Lane, B2163 Heath Road, B2010 Dean Street, B2010 Farleigh Hill, Straw Mill Hill and vice versa.
