Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.

 

FOLKESTONE & HYTHE AREA

 

Moor Lane, Ivychurch, TN29 0AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow vegetation clearance to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Moor Lane, Ivychurch, on or after 11th January 2025 for up to 9 hours or until the works have been completed.

The road will be closed from the junction of Ashford Road to approximately 220m in a South Westerly direction, between the hours of 09:00 and 18:00 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The alternative route for any through traffic is via Ashford Road, Ivychurch Road, Moor Lane and vice versa.

Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.

 

Various Roads, Folkestone, CT20 1DL (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & SUSPENSION OF ONE-WAY) TEMPORARY ORDER 2025

To allow road improvement works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Various Roads, Folkestone.

This Order takes effect on or after 06th January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months or until works have been completed. Planned dates will be published in advanced of the works on One.Network and indicated by signage displayed on site 14 days before they start.

The following restrictions will be imposed when they are indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A2034 & A259 Cheriton Road, Folkestone.
The road will be closed the entire length, between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 only.

The road will require 24/7 and overnight closures between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 only. The dates and times will be indicated by signs and barriers on site.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Sandgate Road and A2033 Bouverie Road.
The one-way Order will be suspended the entire length, to allow access.

The road will be closed the entire length, between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 only.

The road will be closed between the junctions of Guildhall Street and West Terrace.
There is no alternative route. Every effort will be made to maintain access for residents whenever it is safe to do so.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times, pedestrian routes around the works will be as indicated by signs and barriers on site.

A mandatory 20MPH speed limit will be imposed on part of A2034 Cheriton Gardens. The restriction will be imposed between the junctions of A2034 Cheriton Road and A2033 Middelburg Square. A prohibition of parking will be imposed the entire length.

A2033 Middelburg Square, Folkestone.
A mandatory 20MPH speed limit will be imposed the entire length of A2033 Middelburg Square. A prohibition of parking will be imposed along the Western extent of A2033 Middelburg Square.

Foresters Way, Folkestone.
A mandatory 20mph speed limit will be imposed on Foresters Way, between the junctions of A2033 Middleburg Square and A2033 Grace Hill.
