What is happening?
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 – Section 14(1)(B)
A30 Trunk Road (Plusha) (Temporary Restriction And Prohibition Of Traffic) Order 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that National Highways Limited (a) has made an Order on the A30 trunk road, in the County of Cornwall, because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to a new road layout.
The restrictions are expected to be in place from 23.00 hours on 19 December 2024.
The effect of the Order is :
(a) to impose a mandatory 50mph speed limit on the A30 :
(i) eastbound from 1590 metres west to 116 metres east of the centre of Plusha Junction;
(ii) westbound from 1500 metres east to 247 metres west of the centre of Plusha Junction;
(b) to prohibit right turns from the B3257 to the A30 eastbound at Plusha Junction
The restrictions will not apply to emergency service vehicles.
The speed limits will be clearly indicated by traffic signs throughout the period of danger.
The Order will come into force on 18 December 2024 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
