GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF VARIOUS ROADS (WOTTON UNDER EDGE TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the roads as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

The reason for the said closures is for Carriageway Stabilisation Works.

The said roads are expected to be closed on a rolling programme commencing 6th January 2025, where the presence of approved signage will indicate whether the closures are in force. Further advance warnings of dates/times will be displayed on site prior to the closures taking effect. This intended Order may permit the closure and restriction of the said roads in any order, or simultaneously as required and it is anticipated all works will be completed by 4th July 2025.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PUBLIC FOOTPATHS CWE 32, CWE 6, CWE 7 (WOTTON UNDER EDGE TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

Gloucestershire County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily close under Sections 14, 15 and 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) part of the footpaths as detailed in the Schedule below.

SCHEDULE

• Part of Public Footpath CWE 32 from its junction with CWE 104 extending in a generally Northerly direction for approximately 212 metres to its junction with B4058.

• Public Footpath CWE 6 from its junction with CNN18 & CNN 16 extending in a generally South & South Westerly direction for approximately 824 metres to its junction with Old London Road.

  Public Footpath CWE 7 from its junction with CWE 6 extending in a generally South Westerly direction for approximately 306 metres to its junction with B4058.

  The Public Footpaths are expected be closed from 06th January 2025 until 06th June 2025 only or until the works have been completed. For further information, please contact Gloucestershire Highways on 08000 514 514 or visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk.

  The closure is necessary to protect the public due to Geotechnical repairs works.

  Alternative Route – As indicated on the plan by a dashed black line marked G to H to A to I to J and K and signed on site. Pedestrian and emergency access to premises on or next to the footpaths will be maintained.

  TEMPORARY CLOSURE B4066 ULEY ROAD (DURSLEY TOWN) STROUD DISTRICT

  Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the B4066 Uley Road, from its junction with Lampern Hill to the property known as ‘The Coach House’, for a distance of approximately 1000 metres.

  The reason for the said closure is for pole replacement works.

  TEMPORARY CLOSURE C256 DAMERY LANE (ALKINGTON PARISH) STROUD DISTRICT

  Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the C256 Damery Lane Road, from its junction with Damery Lane to outside the property known as ‘The Cottage’, for a distance of approximately 120 metres.

  The reason for the said closure is for broadband and telecommunication works.
