What is happening?

THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL OF STOCKPORT
(BRIDLEWAY 69 BREDBURY & ROMILEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which will be to temporarily close Bridleway 69 Bredbury & Romiley from Mill Lane to Wood Cottages whilst traffic signs to that effect are in place on or near the said bridleway. This Order is necessary because to enable resurfacing works to take place. It is anticipated that the maximum duration of the works will be 6 months. This Order came into operation on 13 December 2024 and will have effect for six months provided that if all necessary works are completed within a shorter period this order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.
