What is happening?

The Kingston Upon Hull City Council

(Temporary Prohibition Of Through Traffic)
Order 2025

Worcester Road (Part)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along Worcester Road from the junction of Coventry Road to the junction of Ilford Road, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to install new drainage and sewer pipework. The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 6th January 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period of approximately 68 days, ending on 14th March 2025.

Southburn Avenue (Part), Greystone Avenue (Part) And Hastings Grove (Part)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along:-
Southburn Avenue, at the junction of Spring Bank West, daily between 8am and 5pm commencing 6th January 2025 until 24th January 2025, and

Greystone Avenue, at the junction of Spring Bank West, daily between 8am and 5pm commencing 20th January 2025 until 31st January 2025; and

Hastings Grove, at the junction of Spring Bank West, daily between 8am and 5pm commencing 20th January 2025 until 31st January 2025.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during gas mains replacement works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 6th January 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed on the dates listed above ending on 31st January 2025.

Princes Dock Street (Part)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with or without a vehicle from proceeding along Princes Dock Street next to Princes Quay Shopping Centre, between the junction with the A63 Castle Street and Posterngate, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during Public Realm Scheme Improvement works. The alternative route for pedestrians and vehicles will be signed on the days.

Access will be maintained for emergency services.

The Order will come into effect 6th January 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed daily between 7am and 5pm commencing 6th January 2025 until 8th May 2025.

St Georges Road (Part)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has made an Order.

The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from proceeding along St Georges Road, at the junction of Hessle Road, opposite Beecroft Court Residential Home, for a distance of approximately 30 metres, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during gas mains replacement works.

The alternative route for vehicles will be signed.

The Order will come into effect 6th January 2025 and may continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed daily between 8am and 5pm commencing 6th January 2025 until 24th January 2025.

Scale Lane Footbridge

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an Order.

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person from proceeding along Scale Lane Footbridge, Kingston upon Hull.

The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and operatives during works to repair the non-slip waterproofing on the lifting span of the bridge.

The alternative route for pedestrians will be signed.

The Order will take effect on 31st December 2024, and may continue in force for a period not exceeding six months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed by 31st May 2025.
