Surrey - Multiple Road Temporary Prohibition of Traffic

What is happening?

Longcross Studios (otherwise known as Burma Road). This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works which is anticipated to be carried out between 9.30am and 3.30pm, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 January 2025 Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. Alternative Route – B386 Longcross Road, D3017 Kitsmead Lane and C10 Chobham Lane.

Little London and Brook Lane (D222) Albury Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024

On 11 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 15(8)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving or proceeding in that length of; (a) the southbound carriageway of Little London (D222) Albury as extends from its junction with (D222) Park Road to its junction with (D222) Brook Lane; (b) the southbound carriageway of Brook Lane (D222) Albury as extends from its junction with (D222) Little London to its junction with (D194) Brook Hill; (c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Little London (D222) Albury Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (a) of this Notice; (d) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Brook Lane (D222) Albury Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (b) of this Notice . Alternative Route: (1) Shere Heath Road, Sandy Lane, Hound House Road, Windmill Plain, (D193) Winterfold Heath Road, (D194) Winterfold Heath Road, Row Lane, Shophouse Lane, and Brook Hill, or this route in reverse; (2) New Road, (A248) The Street, (A248) Chilworth Road, (A248) Dorking Road, (A248) New Road, (B2128) Wonersh Common, (B2128) The Street, (B2128) Cranleigh Road, (B2128) Guildford Road, (B2128) The Green, Woodhill Lane, Farley Heath Road, August Lane, and Brook Hill, or this route in reverse.

This Order is required to allow emergency electrical connection works for, or on behalf of ALS Civil. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 22 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 11-month period of operation of this Order which commences on 16 December 2024 and continues in force the provisions introduced by “The Surrey County Council D222 Little London and D222 Brook Lane, Albury Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Notice 2024” issued under Section 14(2) of the Act on 26 November 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

D163 Skinners Lane, Chiddingfold Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D163 Skinners Lane, Chiddingfold. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 January 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. C233 Spelthorne Lane, Ashford and D3223 Clare Road, Stanwell Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024

Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 January 2025.

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
