What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A1081 ST ALBANS ROAD, SOUTH MIMMS/BARNET) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A1081 St Albans Road, South Mimms/Barnet from its junction with the A1(M) (junction 1)/the M25 (junction 23) roundabout south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with the Dancers Hill Road/Trotters Bottom roundabout, a distance of approximately 1346m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A1 Barnet Bypass Road, Galley Lane and Trotters Bottom or via Trotters Bottom, Galley Lane, A1 Barnet Bypass Road, A5135 Rowley Lane and A1 Barnet Bypass Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

A copy of the Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9am and 5pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays).
