The reason for the said closure is for water pipe renewal works. The said road is expected to be closed from 16th December 2024 until 18th December 2024 only or until the works have been completed.

(Bishops Cleeve. Southam. Swindon And Prestbury Parishes)  Cheltenham And Tewkesbury Boroughs 

Gloucestershire County Council, as traffic authority, intends to make an Order under the relevant provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) to temporarily close part of the A435 Evesham Road, southbound carriageway from its junction with Hyde Lane/Southam Lane to its junction with the Racecourse Roundabout on Evesham Road for a distance of approximately 1.05 miles. 

The reason for the said closure is for reasons of public safety to manage traffic exiting Cheltenham Racecourse. 

The said road is expected to be closed between 15:00hrs and 18:00hrs on 1st January 2025 only or for as long as traffic management is required.
