NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(FREDERICK STREET AND UNION ROAD, OSWALDTWISTLE, HYNDBURN BOROUGH) (REVOCATION, PROHIBITION AND RESTRICTION OF WAITING AND LIMITED WAITING) ORDER 202*
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council propose to make the above Traffic Regulation Order under Sections 1, 2 and 4 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to:
1. Revoke the following:
a) The “Lancashire County Council (Hyndburn Area) (On Street Parking Places, Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Consolidation Order 2009” insofar as it relates to Item (214)c)(iv) of Schedule 10.01.
b) The “Lancashire County Council (Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, Hyndburn Borough) (Revocation, Limited Waiting Parking Place And Prohibition Of Stopping On School Keep Clear Markings) Order 2017” insofar as it relates to Item (e) of Schedule 2.
c) The “Lancashire County Council (Union Road, Market Street, Oswaldtwistle, Hyndburn Borough) (Revocation and Prohibition of Waiting, Limited Waiting Parking Place and Prohibition of Stopping on School Keep Clear Markings) Order 2016” insofar as it relates to:
i. Items 2)(b) and 2)(d) of Schedule 2;
ii. Items 1)(a) and 1)(c) of Schedule 3.
2. Introduce a prohibition of waiting in the following lengths of road:
a) Frederick Street, Oswaldtwistle, the north east side, from its junction with the Centreline of Union Road for a distance of 12.5 metres in a south easterly direction;
b) Frederick Street, Oswaldtwistle, the south west side, from its junction with the Centreline of Union Road for a distance of 9 metres in a south easterly direction;
c) Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, the north west side, from a point 43.5 metres north east of its junction with the Centreline of Simpson Street to its junction with the Centreline of Mill Hill;
d) Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, the south east side, from its junction with the Centreline of Shed Street to a point 44 metres west of its junction with the Centreline of Stone Bridge Lane;
e) Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, the south east side, from its junction with the Centreline of St Paul’s Street for a distance of 40 metres in a north easterly direction;
f) Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, the south east side, from its junction with the Centreline of Colliers Street to a point 22.5 metres south west of its junction with the Centreline of Frederick Street.
3. Introduce a restriction of waiting Monday to Saturday between 8am and 6pm in Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, the south side, from its junction with the Centreline of Havelock Street to its junction with the Centreline of John Street.
4. Introduce a limited waiting parking place for 30 minutes with no return within 30 minutes in Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, the south side, from a point 44 metres south west of its junction with the Centreline of Stone Bridge Lane for a distance of 21 metres in a south westerly direction.
A copy of the draft Order and associated documents for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at the offices of Hyndburn Borough Council, Scaitcliffe House, Ormerod Street, Accrington, BB5 0PF, and at the offices of The Director of Law and Governance, Lancashire County Council, County Hall, Fishergate, Preston PR1 8XJ, and on Lancashire County Councils Website http://www.lancashire.gov.uk/roads-parking-and-travel/roads/roadworksand- traffic-regulation-orders/permanent.aspx.
