Various Roads In Guildford - Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic For Maintenance Works

THE SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL

Sandy Lane (D6851) Cobham Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 11 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Sandy Lane (D6851) Cobham which extends from its junction with Hill Close (X1711) to its junction with Sandy Drive (X16108). Alternative Route – Sandy Lane (D6851), Warren Lane (A244), Leatherhead Road (A244), Oaklawn Road (C131), Woodlands Road (A245), Stoke Road (A245), Fairmile Lane (C157), Water Lane (D6859), Knipp Hill (D6855) and Sandy Lane (D6851) or the same route in reverse. 

This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 8:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 18 December 2024. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. 

B365 Seven Hills Road, Cobham Temporary Banned Turn Order 2024
On 11 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles that are proceeding in a southerly direction on B365 Seven Hill Road, Cobham from turning right into A245 Byfleet Road, Cobham. 

This Traffic Order is required by Chevron Traffic Management Limited to enable carriageway construction and/or improvement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 17 months of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 01 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary banned turn will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. All vehicular traffic will be diverted via A245 Byfleet Road eastbound to the “Painshill Roundabout” (A245 Portsmouth Road) to return on A245 Byfleet Road westbound.

D6815 Claygate Lane, Thames Ditton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 11 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to: a) Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D6815 Claygate Lane, Thames Ditton that extends from its junction with A307 Portsmouth Road, to its junction with D6814 Manor Road North. 

b) Suspend “The Urban District of Esher (Claygate Lane, Thames Ditton)(Prescribed Route)Order 1972” in its entirety. c) Suspend “The Surrey County Council D6815 Claygate Lane, Thames Ditton Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. 

This Order is required to enable XEIAD/Network Rail to carry out inspections and/ or repairs/maintenance works to the Claygate Lane railway bridges. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 9pm and 5am, within 1 night of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 16 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. Access for residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the vehicular diversion route:- 
Claygate Lane, Manor Road North, Kingston By-Pass, the “Scilly Isles Roundabout”, Portsmouth Road and Brooklands Road.

D3026 Canford Drive, Addlestone Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 11 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D3026 Canford Drive, Addlestone. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable WB Civil and Mechanical Limited to carry out pipeline utility works adjacent to “No.80 Canford Drive”. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 11 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 20 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. 

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, will be maintained via the vehicular diversion route:- Canford Drive and Roakes Avenue.

D3176 Rosemary Lane, Thorpe Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 11 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3176 Rosemary Lane, Thorpe that extends from its junction with D3176 Muckhatch Lane, to the western side of its junction with the access road for “Croft Farm”. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Total Utility Connections to carry out gas mains installations and/or connections and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8:30am and 4pm within 7 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 17 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, equestrians, cyclists and pedestrians will be maintained at all times. 

Alternative route:- Thorpe By-Pass, Ten Acre Lane, Village Road, Green Road and Rosemary Lane.

D4009 Epsom Road and D4009 Trodds Lane, Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
On 11 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and (7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to:- 1. Prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of D4009 Epsom Road and D4009 Trodds Lane, Guildford. 2. Suspend the “Surrey County Council Epsom Road (D4009) and Trodds Lane (D4009) Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” in its entirety. This Traffic Order is required to enable Southern Gas Networks to carry out gas mains replacement and/or connection and/ or maintenance works in D4009 Trodds Lane, Guildford between its junction with Abbots Way and the south-eastern property boundary of “No.37 Trodds Lane”. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4:30pm, within 10 weeks of the 10 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 06 January 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. 

Access to affected residences and businesses will be maintained at all times including access for emergency vehicles to such property. Alternative route:- 

D4009 Trodds Lane, A25 Shere Road, A25 Epsom Road, D4009 Epsom Road and D4009 Trodds Lane.

D3883 Brooklands Lane, Weybridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 11 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D3883 Brooklands Lane, Weybridge that extends from the eastern side of its junction with D3883 March Road, to the western side of its junction with B374 Heath Road. This Traffic Order is required to enable Affinity Water to carry out frame and lid renewal and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 4pm within 2 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 18 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times by means of road plates. Alternative route:- March Road, Mayfield Road and Heath Road.

C229 Bridge Road and D3877 Old Wharf Way, Weybridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 11 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit all traffic (including pedestrians and cyclists) from entering or proceeding in the entire length, including the footway, of:- a) C229 Bridge Road, Weybridge. b) D3877 Old Wharf Way, Weybridge. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out signal works and/or highway resurfacing and/or improvement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out in phases between the hours of 7pm and 5am, within 2 weeks of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 27 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via the alternative route:- 1. Eastbound Closure: - Weystone Road, Weybridge Road, Balfour Road, Church Street. 2. Westbound Closure: - Old Wharf Way, Weybridge Road, Link Road and Addlestone Road. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.

Various Roads in Cranleigh Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 11 December 2024 Surrey County Council made the abovementioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of:- a) B2128 Horsham Road, Cranleigh that extends from “the Obelisk Junction”, including the length of carriageway comprised within its roundabout junction with B2128 Horsham Road and B2127 Ewhurst Road, to the northeastern property boundary of “Chipsteads of Cranleigh Limited, Little Manor Service Station, No.2 High Street”. b) B2127 Ewhurst Road, Cranleigh, both arms that extend from “the Obelisk Junction”, including the length of carriageway comprised within its roundabout junction with B2128 High Street and B2128 Horsham Road, to the south-western property boundary of “Little Causey, Ewhurst Road”. 

c) B2128 High Street, Cranleigh that extends from “the Obelisk Junction”, including the length of carriageway comprised within its roundabout junction with B2128 High Street and B2127 Ewhurst Road, to the north-eastern property boundary of “Broadoak Lodge, Horsham Road”. 

This Traffic Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to carry out installation of pedestrian crossing points at the junction of B2128 Horsham Road, B2127 Ewhurst Road and B2128 High Street, Cranleigh “the Obelisk Junction” and/or footway/ carriageway resurfacing and/or improvement and/or maintenance works. These works are anticipated to be carried out within 1 week of the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 02 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closures will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. 

Access for pedestrians and, dismounted cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times. No sole access to property will be affected. 

Access will be maintained at all times to “Chipsteads of Cranleigh Limited, Little Manor Service Station, No.2 High Street”. Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained at all times via the alternative routes described below:- 

a) (i) From Horsham Road to High Street approach:- Continue on the B2128 towards Ellens Green, Horsham then towards Rudgwick, Horsham. Continue onto B2128 Church Street (West Sussex), turn right onto A281 Guildford Road and continue straight for approx. 3.3 miles on A281 Horsham Road (Surrey), continue onto the A281 Alfold By-Pass for approx. 1.1 miles then straight over S281 roundabout onto A281 for approx. 1.3 miles. Turn right onto B2130 Elmbridge Road and continue straight for approx. 1.3 miles then turn right onto B2128 The Common Cranleigh and continue straight to the B2128 High Street. (ii) From High Street approach:- From B2128 The Common Cranleigh turn left onto B2130 Elmbridge Road, continue straight for approx. 1.3 miles then turn left onto A281 and continue straight on A281, over S281 roundabout onto A281 (West Sussex), turn onto B2128 Church Street then continue on the B2128, towards Rudgwick, Horsham, then towards Ellens Green, Horsham (Surrey), turn left onto B2128 Horsham Road and continue straight for approx. 4.23 miles. b) (i) From Ewhurst Road approach:- From B2127 Ewhurst Road, continue straight on Bookhurst Road and Cranleigh Road for approx. 2.2 miles, turn right onto C47 The Green for approx. 0.8 miles, then turn right onto C47 Somersbury Lane and continue straight for approx. 1.5 miles. Turn left onto B2128 Horsham Road towards Ellens Green, Horsham, continue on the B2128, towards Rudgwick, Horsham and B2128 Church Street (West Sussex), turn right onto A281, Guildford Road and continue straight for approx. 3.3 miles on A281 Horsham Road (Surrey), then A281 Alfold By-Pass for approx. 1.1 miles, straight over S281 roundabout onto A281 for approx. 1.3 miles, turn right onto B2130 Elmbridge Road, continue straight for approx. 1.3 miles, turn right onto B2128 The Common, Cranleigh and continue straight to the B2128 High Street. (ii) From High Street approach to Ewhurst Road:- From B2128, continue straight along High Street, turn left on The Common Roundabout onto B2130 Elmbridge Road and continue for approx. 1.27 miles. Turn left onto the A281 Horsham Road and continue straight, over S281 roundabout onto A281 (West Sussex), continue straight on A281 Guildford Road through Bucks Green, turn Left onto B2128 Church Street and continue on the B2128, towards Rudgwick, Horsham. Continue on the B2128, towards Ellens Green, Horsham (Surrey), from B2128 Horsham Road turn right onto C47 Somersbury Lane and continue straight for approx. 1.5 miles, then turn left onto C47 The Green and continue straight for approx. 0.8 miles. Turn left onto B2127 and continue straight on Cranleigh Road, Bookhurst Road and Ewhurst Road for approx. 2.2 miles. c) (i) From High Street Approach:- From B2128, continue straight along High Street, turn left on The Common Roundabout onto B2130 Elmbridge Road and continue for approx. 1.27 miles. Turn left onto the A281 Horsham Road and continue straight, continue onto Guildford Road, Alfold By-Pass (entering West Sussex), continue straight on A281 Guildford Road through Bucks Green, turn left onto B2128 Church Street and continue straight through Rudgwick, slight right bend onto Cox Green Road, turn left onto Horsham Road and continue straight for approx. 4.23 miles. (ii) From Horsham Road Approach:- Continue straight along B2128 Horsham Road for approx. 4.23 miles onto Cox Green Road, turn left onto B2128 Church Street (entering West Sussex), continue straight through Rudgwick for approx. 1.34 miles, turn right onto A281 Guildford Road, continue straight through Bucks Green for approx. 2.55 miles. Continue straight onto Horsham Road for approx. 1km, slight right on bend onto Guildford Road, continue along A281 Alfold By-Pass for approx. 1 mile, straight over the roundabout and continue onto Horsham Road for approx. 1.21 miles. Right turn onto B2130 Elmbridge Road and continue straight for approx. 1.27 miles then right turn at The Common Roundabout onto B2128 The Common and continue onto B2128 High Street for approx. 900metres.

D5425 Ockford Ridge Godalming Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D5425 Ockford Ridge Godalming as extends from its junction with Coopers Rise to its junction with Hawthorn Road. Alternative Route: Snowerhill Road (C57), Tapners Road (C57), Bunce Common Road (C58), Shellwood Road (C54), Leigh Road (C54), Middle Street (C54), Wellhouse Lane (D308), Wellhouse Lane (D308) and Snowerhill Road (C57). This Order is required to enable Network Plus to facilitate a new service connection and/or other associated works. 

These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 14 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Peaslake Lane (D222) Peaslake Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Peaslake Lane (D222) Peaslake as extends from its junction with (D228) Walking Bottom, (D222) Ewhurst Road, and (D276) Radnor Road to its junction with (D229) Mackies Hill. 

Alternative Route: Pursers Lane, Burchets Hollow, Pond Lane and Walking Bottom or this route in reverse. This Order is required to facilitate installation of new customer connection works for, or on behalf of Network Plus. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 9am and 6pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 14 January 2025. 

Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. 

C17 Manor Road, Ash Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of C17 Manor Road, Ash which extends from its junction with A232 Ash Street to its junction with C119 The Street. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate the construction of road tables which is anticipated to be completed within 15 days, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 January 2025. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. 

Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. 

Alternative Route – C17 Manor Road, A323 Ash Street, A323 Ash Church Road, C18 Foreman Road, C18 White Lane, C19 Poyle Road, C119 The Street and C17 Manor Road or vice versa.

Various Roads in Elmbridge Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 January 2025 Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. 

In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period. 

Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to a suitable location outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. 

Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route.

2. the entire length of B374 Heath Road, Weybridge. Alternative Route – Hanger Hill, A317 Queens Road, A317 Monument Hill, A317 High Street, A317 Church Street and B374 Church Street;

3. the entire length of C158 Hare Lane, Claygate. Alternative Route – Milbourne Lane, A244 Claremont Lane, A307 High Street, A307 Portsmouth Road, A309 Scilly Isles Roundabout, A309 Kingston ByPass, Manor Road South and Oaken Lane.

Various Roads in Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.12) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to:- (a) prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified and described in the Schedule to this Notice; and (b) revoke part 1 of the Schedule to “Surrey County Council Various Roads in Guildford Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.11) 2024”. 

This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate surface dressing, pre-patching and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 January 2025 Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Alternative Route – B3000 The Street, B3000 Puttenham Heath Road, B3000 Puttenham Hill, A31 Hogs Back, A31 Farnham Road, A322 Bridge Street (clockwise only), A322 Onslow Street (clockwise only), A3100 Park Street, A3100 Portsmouth Road and A3100 Old Portsmouth Road;

2.that length of A25 Shere Road, Albury which extends from its junction with A248 Sherbourne north-westwards for a distance of 380m. (a) the entire width of the eastbound and westbound carriageway of A25 Ladymead, Guildford which extends from the easternmost kerbline of D4005 Europa Park Road eastwards for a distance of 110m; (b) the entire width of the eastbound and westbound carriageway of A25 Woodbridge Road, Guildford which extends from the westernmost kerb-line of D4005 Europa Park Road westwards for a distance of 45m; (c) the entire width of the northbound and southbound carriageway of A322 Woodbridge Road, Guildford which extends from the southern kerb-line of Ladymead southwards for a distance of 100m; (d) the entire length of D4005 Europa Park Road, Guildford; (e) in the central area of the carriageway comprised within the Woodbridge Crossroads which is bounded by the stop lines on the north, east, west and south sides of the said crossroads (at the junction of A25 Woodbridge Road, A25 Ladymead, A322 Woodbridge Road and D4005 Europa Park Road); (f) the entire length of the dedicated left turn filter lane leading from A322 Woodbridge Road to A25 Woodbridge Road; (g) the entire length of the dedicated left turn filter lane leading from A25 Ladymead to A322 Woodbridge Road; (h) the entire length of the dedicated left turn filter lane leading from A322 Woodbridge Road to D4005 Europa Park Road. Works are anticipated to be carried out between 8pm and 6am.
