ELSTOW ROAD, BEDFORD 24 - 098

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Elstow Road, Bedford between Grosvenor Road and London Road.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 20:00 to 06:00 hours from 17th January 2025 to 18th January 2025

The signed alternative route for vehicles affected by the order is available via Elstow Road, Mile Road, London Road.

The reverse route applies.

FOSTER HILL ROAD, BEDFORD 24 - 099

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle except a vehicle being used for fire, police or ambulance purposes in an emergency, from proceeding along the length of Foster Hill Road, Bedford junction of Wellington Street.

This temporary road closure is required to facilitate for safe access of Openreach civils work for blockage clearance and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 09:30 to 15:30 hours from 17th January 2025 to 17th January 2025

LONGHOLME WAY UNDER PASS BEDFORD 24 - 090

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bedford Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian and cyclist from proceeding along the footpath and cyclepath under Longholme Way Underpass Bedford.

These temporary footpath and cycle path closure(s) are required for the safety of the public and workforce while works are undertaken for the refurbishment of the subway, repairs, electrical works, lighting installation, drainage works and decoration is carried out and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs.

These temporary footpath and cycle path closure(s) are anticipated to be in operation 24 hours from 6th January 2025 to 21st February 2025

Pedestrians and cyclists affected by the proposed Order should follow the diversion route as appropriate as indicated on site. This temporary road closure is required to facilitate carriageway resurfacing, drainage, repairs and shall apply to such extent as may from time to time be indicated by the appropriate traffic signs. This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation

This temporary road closure is anticipated to be in operation 08:00 to 18:00 hours from 14th January 2025 to 29th January 2025

Residential access via Duchess Road will be unrestricted, except when resurfacing this junction on the 14th, 22nd & 23rd January 2025. During this time, temporary traffic lights will be in operation between 09:00 - 15:30 hours. The proposed Order will come into operation on 14th January 2025, for a period of 12 months or until the proposed works have been completed, as detailed above, whichever is the earlier.
