What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF NEWTOWN ROAD, BISHOPS STORTFORD)
ORDER NO.4 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an
Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Newtown Road, Bishops Stortford from its junction with B1529 South Street south westwards for a distance of approximately 60m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via B1529 South Street, Havers Lane, Cemetery Road, Scott Road, Apton Road and Newtown Road or via B1529 South Street, Apton Road and Newtown Road. The Order is needed because gas main improvement works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 13 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A1250 HADHAM ROAD, BISHOPS STORTFORD) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A1250 Hadham Road, Bishops Stortford from its junction with Chantry Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 30m (“the Road”). An alternative route will be via A1250 (Hadham Road/Link Road/ The Causeway/Hockerill Street/Dunmow Road), A120 (unnamed road/ Bishops Stortford Bypass) and A1250 Hadham Road.
The Order is needed because electrical service connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road. If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 12 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SPELLBROOK LANE WEST, SAWBRIDGEWORTH) ORDER NO.2 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Spellbrook Lane West, Sawbridgeworth from a point 95m south west of its junction with A1184 London Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 220m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via Spellbrook Lane West, A1184 (London Road/ Cambridge Road), Parsonage Lane and Spellbrook Lane West. The Order is needed because utility service connection works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road. A copy of the Order may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Hertford between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm (excluding weekends, bank and public holidays). (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A120 LITTLE HADHAM BYPASS, LITTLE HADHAM) ORDER 2024
NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A120 Little Hadham Bypass, Little Hadham from its junction with the A120 Standon Road roundabout north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with the A120 Hadham Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 3846m (“the Road”), except for access. An alternative route will be via A120 (Standon Road/Stortford Road/
Kents Lane/Standon Hill), A10 (Wadesmill Bypass/unnamed road/Amwell Link Road), A414 (Eastwick Road/ Fifth Avenue/Edinburgh Way), A1184 (Cambridge Road/Harlow Road/Bonks Hill/London Road/Cambridge Road/ London Road/St James Way/Bishops Park Way) and A120 Hadham Road. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road. The Order has been made and shall come into force on 16 December
