(Dyfed Road, Neath) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2025

NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).

The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from driving on the length of road set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force.

During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the road is closed.

The Order is necessary to enable Wales and West Utilities to undertake Civil engineering works in the road and for the Highway Section to carry out any subsequent resurfacing works.

This Order will come into force on the 13th January 2025 and shall continue in force for 18 months, or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner.

It is envisaged the works will take 2 weeks to complete.

SCHEDULE
Dyfed Road will be closed from junction of Gnoll Park Road in a southerly direction for approximately 60m along its length.

The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the unaffected section of Dyfed Road, Beechwood Aveneue, Cimla Road, Victoria Gardens and Gnoll Park Road.

Access for emergency services and pedestrian access will be maintained.
