(Church Lane, Doddinghurst)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Lane, Doddinghurst in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 100m south west of its junction with Dagwood Lane for a distance of approximately 50m in south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th January 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30028030091 – UK Power Networks).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Blackmore Road, Place Farm Lane and vice versa (with access only into Church Lane, Stock Lane).
The Order came into effect on 11th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Church Road, Mountnessing)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Church Road, Mountnessing in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 10m north east of its junction with Padhams Green for a distance of approximately 30m in a north easterly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th January 2025 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ903NL8343 – Cadent).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/ or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while maintenance works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Church Road, Padhams Green
Road, Mountnessing Road, Old Church Lane, Old Church Road,
Marsh Lane and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Kelvedon Hall Lane, Kelvedon Hatch)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Kelvedon Hall Lane, Kelvedon Hatch in the Borough of Brentwood, from a point approximately 400m south west of its junction with Ongar Road for a distance of approximately 775m in a south westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th January 2025 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFRHD45HSB – Openreach).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while underground cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Kelvedon Hall Lane, Ongar Road, Church Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Moreton Road, Fyfield)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Moreton Road, Fyfield in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 380m west of its junction with Clatterford End Cut for a distance of approximately 70m in a north westerly direction.
The closure is scheduled to commence on 10th January 2025 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410250302 – Affinity Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while frame and lid replacement works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Moreton Bridge, Moreton Road, Fyfield Road, Ongar Road, Maltings Hill, Church Road, Bridge Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th December 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Ongar Road, Pilgrims Hatch/Brentwood)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order :
- To temporarily close that length of Ongar Road, Pilgrims Hatch/ Brentwood, in the Borough of Brentwood, from the junction with Coxtie Green Road to the junction with Costead Manor Road a distance of approximately 1665m.
2. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.
“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only.
All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The closure and restriction are scheduled to commence on 20th January 2025 for 12 nights (19:00 - 05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2374730 – Essex County Council).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network.
The closure and restriction are required for the safety of the public and workforce while resurfacing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

(Wash Road, Hutton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order :
1. To temporarily close the said length of Wash Road, Hutton in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Rayleigh Road to its junction with Tallon Road a distance of approximately 480m.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on the above length of road for the duration of the closure to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.
“The Essex County Council (Brentwood Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only.
All other re-strictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 11th December 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network.
The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services.
Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
An alternative route is available via Rayleigh Road, Hutton Road, Chelmsford Road, Chelmsford Road Roundabout, Roman Road, Widvale Road, Wash Road and vice versa.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wenlocks Lane, Blackmore in the Borough of Brentwood, from its junction with Blackmore Road for a distance of approximately 20m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 20th January 2025 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410251392-WL – Affinity Water).
The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap and boundary box works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Blackmore Road, Wenlocks Lane and vice versa.
