(FOOTPATH 34, PORT TALBOT) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
NOTICE is hereby given that Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council intend is not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along the length of highway set out in the Schedule below whilst the Order is in force. During such periods as are indicated by traffic signs informing the public that the length of highway is closed.
The Order is necessary to permit essential works to the Cwmwernderi Reservoir and is in the interests of public safety.
The Order will come into force on 2nd January 2025 and shall continue in force for a period of six months or until the works are completed whichever is the sooner.

That length of Footpath 34 Port Talbot commencing at point A (Grid Ref. 28171 20853) and proceeding in a generally east south-easterly direction to point B (Grid Ref. 28157 19027) a total distance of 1,632 metres or thereabouts.
Alternative Routes
The public are advised to use the existing public rights of way and highway network.
