Public Notices for Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders
The following public notices were served on Thursday 12 December 2024:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 1:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (FOOTPATHS 16 & 17, EATON LEYS) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following parts of footpath to allow Barratt Homes to undertake housing development works:
3rd January – 3rd July 2025
Footpaths 16 and 17, Eaton Leys – from the border with Buckinghamshire Council Highway boundary for 560 metres in a northerly direction
Whilst the above lengths of footpath is closed there will be no alternative route.
PUBLIC NOTICE 2:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (CHAPTER, COFFEE HALL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road in order to allow John Henry Group to carry out maintenance works.
16th January – 17th January 2025 (24 hours)
Chapter, Coffee Hall – from its junction with A421 Standing Way to its junction with Daniels Welch.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Standing Way, Grafton Street and Chapter (and vice versa).
Whilst the above closure is in place there will be no left turn from Standing Way into Chapter.
Whilst the above closure is in place there will be no right turn from Standing Way into Chapter.
Central Reservation on Standing Way will be closed for the duration of the works.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Milton Keynes City Council has on 10 December 2024, made the following temporary traffic regulation Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:
PUBLIC NOTICE 3:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS IN HANSLOPE, SHENLEY WOOD AND SHERINGTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of roads to allow Anglian Water to carryout maintenance and new connection works.
Bullington End Hanslope – At its junction with Park Road. 31st January 2025 (8:00am – 6:00pm)
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Park Road, Newport Road and Bullington End (and vice versa).
Forest Road, Hanslope – Outside Salcey Green Farm. 8th January 2025 and 10th January 2025 (24 hours)
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Forest Road, Park Road and Hartwell Road (and vice versa).
Fulmer Street H5 to H6, Shenley Wood – From its junction with Childs Way to its junction with Chalkdell Drive. 20th January 2025 and 21st January 2025 (24 hours)
Whist the above closure is in effect, the alternative route will be via Portway, Tattenhoe Street and Childs Way (and vice versa).
Water Lane Sherington – Outside Number 43. 21st January 2025 and 23rd January 2025 (24 hours)
Whist the above closure is in effect access will be maintained.
Access to properties will be maintained when it is safe to do so.
PUBLIC NOTICE 4:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (REDWAY NP03, NEWPORT PAGNELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
The effect of the above Order will be to close the following length of redway between 1st January 2025 and 30th June 2025 (24 Hours):
Redway NP03, Newport Pagnell – From its Junction with Tongwell Lane to its junction with the footway access to Alexandra Drive.
Whilst the redway is closed the alternative route will be via Ranelagh Gardens, Alexandra Drive, Redway NP04 Newport Pagnell and Tongwell Lane (Vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 5:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (COMMON STREET, RAVENSTONE) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along the following part of road to allow City Fiber to excavate and lay duct.
For the purpose of the above Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following length of road:
13th January 2024 – 17th January 2024 (between 8:00am and 6:00pm each day)
Common Street, Ravenstone – from its junction with Stoke Goldington Road to its junction with Lower Farm House.
Whilst the closure is in place the alternative route will be via Ravenstone Mill Road, High Street and Weston Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 6:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (MOUNT PLEASANT, STOKE GOLDINGTON) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close the following length of road to enable City Fibre to carry out maintenance works between 27th January 2025 and 31st January 2025 (Between 8:00am and 6:00pm each day).
Mount Pleasant, Stoke Goldington – From its junction with Springbank Court to its junction with number 31 Mount Pleasant.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via B526, Road To Weston Underwood, Ravenstone Mill Road, Stoke Goldington Road (and vice versa).
PUBLIC NOTICE 7:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (HIGH STREET (PART), STONY STRATFORD) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily close the High Street, Stony Stratford between its junctions with Church Street, and Wolverton Road for the purpose of facilitating the holding of a relevant event, namely the ‘Vintage Stony 2025’ which is being promoted by Mr. Ray Cobley on behalf of the ‘Vintage Stony’ Group and the Stony Stratford Business Association.
The proposed Order will come into operation on 1st January 2025 at 8.00am and will continue in operation for a maximum of 3 days or until the completion of the relevant event, whichever shall be the earlier, however it is anticipated that the restrictions will only remain in effect until 2.00pm on 1st January 2025.
The alternative route for traffic will be via Church Street, Silver Street and Horsefair Green (Vice Versa).
Pedestrian access to adjacent properties and premises shall be maintained throughout the closure. There shall be no exemptions from the provisions of the order other than for emergency services vehicles and military vehicles.
PUBLIC NOTICE 8:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (SIMPSON ROAD (PART), BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025 (No.2)
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road to allow Network Rail to undertake an inspection of the level crossing:
Simpson Road, Bletchley – From its junction with The Sidings to its junction with Lock View Lane.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Watling Street, Bilton Road and Staple Hall Road (and vice versa).
The above closure will take place between 11th January – 13th January 2025 (9pm – 6am) or until the said works have been completed, whichever is the sooner.
PUBLIC NOTICE 9:
MILTON KEYNES CITY COUNCIL (DENMARK STREET, BLETCHLEY) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2025
The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along the following length of road in order to allow SGN to carry out gas mains replacement works.
6th January – 14th February 2025 (24 hours)
Denmark Street, Bletchley – Its entire length.
Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Victoria Road, Vicarage Road and Aylesbury Street (and vice versa).
