Definitive Map Modification Order (No 19) 2024

The above Order, made on 20th November 2024, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area by:-
Former Berwick Borough
Restricted Byway No 31 / Footpath No 18 (Parish of Ancroft)
Upgrading thereto to restricted byway status, part of existing Public Footpath No 18, from the C8 (Shoreswood – Ancroft) road at Longdike (O.S. Grid Ref NT 9904 4532), in a general south-westerly direction for a distance of 1455 metres to a point 1025 metres north-east of Ancroft Southmoor (NT 9774 4485).
And adding thereto a restricted byway, from a point on existing Public Footpath No 18, 1025 metres north-east of Ancroft Southmoor (O.S. Grid Ref NT 9774 4485), in a general westerly direction for a distance of 1270 metres to join the U21 road, 565 metres north of Ancroft Southmoor (NT 9662 4493).
Restricted Byway No 32 (Parish of Ancroft)
Adding thereto a restricted byway, from the U21 road, 570 metres north of Ancroft Southmoor (O.S. Grid Ref NT 9661 4493), in a westerly direction for a distance of 905 metres, to join alleged Restricted Byway No 33 in the Parish of Duddo, 935 metres south-west of The Manse, Ancroft Northmoor (NT 9570 4485).
Restricted Byway No 33 (Parish of Duddo)
Adding thereto a restricted byway, from alleged Restricted Byway No 32 in the Parish of Ancroft, 935 metres south-west of The Manse, Ancroft Northmoor (O.S. Grid Ref NT 9570 4485), in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 75 metres, to join the B6354 road, 920 metres south-west of The Manse, Ancroft Northmoor (NT 9567 4492).
These details are shown on the Order map. Any representations or objection relating to the Order must be sent in writing to Barbara McCabe, Legal Services, at the address shown below or by email to Barbara.McCabe@northumberland.gov.uk no later than 6th February 2025. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no representations or objections are duly made to the order, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Northumberland County Council, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with it.
