The Council of the City of Peterborough gives notice pursuant to section 14(2)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984:
The City of Peterborough, Westfield Road, West Town, Peterborough – Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991 (Temporary Restriction of Through Traffic) Notice 2024 Ref: 25-204
The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Westfield Road, West Town, as lies between Lime Kiln Close and Bourges Boulevard. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Bourges Boulevard, A47 Soke Parkway, Gresley Way, Atherstone Avenue and vice versa. This notice is made in the interest of railway bridge examination works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days between 22:00hrs and 06:00hrs from the 16/12/2024. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform. The effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along the road known as Goldhay Way, Orton as lies between Paxton Road and Orton Parkway Roundabout 25. Access will be maintained to properties affected by this Notice. The Council is satisfied that traffic should be prohibited due to proposed works being executed on the above road. The alternative route for vehicles affected by this order is via: Orton Parkway, Fletton Parkway Roundabout 1 Eastbound on Slip, Fletton Parkway, Fletton Parkway Roundabout 2 Eastbound Off Slip, Goldhay Way and vice versa. This notice is made in the interest of new telecoms pole installation works and will remain effective for no more than 5 days between 22:00hrs and 06:00hrs from the 16/12/2024. The Notice shall not apply to any persons lawfully engaged in connection with any works for which it is made, any member of the Police Force, Fire and Rescue Service, Ambulance Service, a vehicle being used by Special Forces during the execution of their duties or any person acting with permission or upon the direction of a police Officer in uniform.
