TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS 2024

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984

Norfolk County Council, in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, hereby gives notice that:

I) THEY PROPOSE TO MAKE

Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

CANTLEY, LIMPNENE, AND SOUTHWOOD – The Common from its junction with Oaks Farm Lane for 50m south-eastwards to facilitate Anglian Water works for a new water connection from 18th to 20th December 2024 (may continue until 31st January 2025). Alternative route is via: The Common, Grove Road, Porters Road, Reedham Road, Lower Green, The Green, Chapelfield (Beighton, Cantley, Limpenhoe, Southwood, Freethorpe).

GORLESTON-ON-SEA – Bells Road from 11.5m north of its junction with Springfield Road for 50m northwards to facilitate works for traffic lights; traffic over the road shall be temporarily prohibited to park, stop, load, and/or unload, including in the pre-existing parking bays from 16th to 18th December 2024 (may continue until 29th January 2025). Alternative route is: N/A.

GREAT AND LITTLE PLUMSTEAD

  1. Hospital Road from its junction with Kevil Davis Drive to its junction with Salhouse Road; and
  2. School Road from its junction with Salhouse Road to its junction with School Road for 50m to facilitate highway drainage works between 18:30 and 21:30 from 16th to 20th December 2024 (may continue until 31st January 2025). Alternative route is via: Hospital Road, Water Lane, Church Road, Salhouse Road, Belt Road (Great and Little Plumstead, Blofield).

NORTH WALSHAM – Marshgate Road from Whitehouse Lane for BT excavation for Openreach infrastructure. Specific site detour additions follow suit overwood.

NORTH WALSHAM – Marshgate Road from its junction with Bluebell Road for 50m southwards to facilitate safe access requirements for excavation works from 16th to 18th December 2024 (may continue until 29th January 2025). Alternative route is via: North Walsham Bypass, Station Road, Cornish Way, Bluebell Road, Marshgate Road (North Walsham).

SLOLEY – Church Lane from its junction with School Road for 50m southwards to facilitate a water meter exchange on 16th December 2024. Alternative route is via: School Road, Low Street, Sloley Road, Church Lane.

SUFFIELD – The Street/White Post Road from its junction with White Post Road for 250m north eastwards to facilitate works for duct laying and cable works from 16th to 18th December 2024 (may continue until 24th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Suffield Road, A140 Cromer Road, B1145 Thorpe Market Road/North Walsham Road, A149 Cromer Road, North Walsham Bypass (North Walsham, Suffield, White Post).

TRUNCH – Mundesley Road from 150m south of its junction with Back Street to its junction with Trunch Road to facilitate water main works from 18th December 2024 to 31st January 2025. Alternative route is via: Back Street, Southrepps Road, Brick Kiln Road, North Walsham Road, Mundesley Road, Swafield Road (Trunch).

WATLINGTON

  1. Mill Road from its junction with Thieve Bridge Road to its junction with Lynn Road; and
  2. Plough Lane from its junction with Mill Road to its junction with Lynn Road to facilitate Norfolk County Council resurfacing works from 16th December 2024 to 20th December 2024 (may continue until 31st January 2025). Note: The two roads will not be closed together, and there will be a single ongoing flow of information to residents.

WEREHAM – Stoke Road from 450m east of its junction with The Row for 70m eastwards to facilitate Anglian Water mains repair works between 07:30 and 16:00 on 16th December 2024 (may continue until 27th January 2025). Alternative route is via: A1065, A47, A1122, West Dereham, Stoke Ferry, Northwold, Crimplesham, Barton Bendish, Fincham, Hilborough, Great Cressingham.

WEST ACRE – Lynn Road from its junction with Hardy Lane for 170m eastwards to facilitate tree felling works from 17th to 19th December 2024 (may continue until 31st January 2025). Alternative route is via: Narford Road, Narford Lane, River Road, West Acre Road, South Acre, Station Street, Castle Street.

II) THEY HAVE MADE

Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders in respect of the following roads:

AYLSHAM – Millgate from its junction with Dunkirk to its junction with New Road to facilitate Norfolk County Council carriageway patching works from 9th to 10th December 2024 (may continue until 21st January 2025). Alternative route is via: Norwich Road, Drabblegate, A140 Aylsham Bypass, Millgate.

BRADWELL – Church Lane from its junction with Beccles Road for 40m westwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council resurfacing works from 10th to 11th December 2024 (may continue until 22nd January 2025). Alternative route is via: Church Lane, Sun Lane.

COLBY AND BANNINGHAM – Colby Road from 45m north of its junction with Church Close for 50m northwards to facilitate water connection works from 11th to 13th December 2024 (may continue until 24th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Church Road, High Noon Road, Church Close, Banningham Road (Banningham, Colby).

FELMINGHAM – Stow Heath Road from 570m south of its junction with Grange Road for 100m southwards to facilitate BT pole testing works on 12th December 2024 (may continue until 23rd January 2025). Alternative route is via: Felmingham Road, North Walsham Road, A140 Cromer Road, Suffield Road, B1145 Thorpe Market Road (Felmingham).

GORLESTON-ON-SEA – U61262 Riverside Road from 85m south of its junction with U62461 Ferry Hill for 50m southwards to facilitate electrical connection works from 9th to 15th December 2024 (may continue until 23rd January 2025). Alternative route is via: Riverside Road, Ferry Hill, Church Road, Bells Road, Springfield Road, Pier Plain.

HEMEL HEMPSTEAD – Reman Road from junction Smith Rematching Closure Temporary Road

HELLESDON – Reepham Road from its junction with Reepham Road for 140m south-westwards to facilitate tree cutting works from 9th to 13th December 2024 (may continue until 23rd January 2025). Alternative route is via: Reepham Road, Middletons Lane, Woodland Road.

HORSTEAD WITH STANNINGHALL – Hall Lane from its junction with B1150 Norwich Road for 50m north-westwards to facilitate works for the fitting of a new water main from 9th to 11th December 2024 (may continue until 22nd January 2025). Alternative route is via: Hall Lane, B1150 Norwich Road, Crostwick Lane, Buxton Road, Frettenham Road.

NORTH WALSHAM – Yarmouth Road from its junction with Thirlby Road to its junction with Grange Court to facilitate works to access underground structure to provide services to new customers on the 11th December 2024 (may continue until 22nd January 2025). Alternative route is via: Grammar School Road, Mundesley Road, Lyngate Road.

POTTER HEIGHAM – Reynolds Lane from its junction with Green Lane for 166m eastwards to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works on the 12th December 2024 (may continue until 23rd January 2025). Alternative route is via: Back Lane, Potter Heigham Road, Reynolds Lane.

WOOD DALLING – Heydon Road from its junction with B1149 Holt Road to its junction with Crabgate Lane South to facilitate cable works from 11th to 14th December 2024 (may continue until 23rd January 2025). Alternative route is via: Crabgate Lane, B1149 Holt Road, Wood Dalling Road.

SCARNING – Oak Road for 50m southwest for the laying of Anglian Water Service connections from Jan

SCARNING – Oak Road for 50m southwest of its junction with Dereham Road to facilitate Anglian Water service connections from 11th to 13th December 2024 (may continue until 22nd January 2025). Alternative route is via: Dereham Road, Church Road, Back Lane.

LITTLE ELLINGHAM – U33137 Goose Common from its junction with U33041 Thieves Lane to its junction with Wood Lane to facilitate Norfolk County Council carriageway patching works from 9th to 13th December 2024 (may continue until 24th January 2025). Alternative route is via: U33137 Goose Common, B1077 Attleborough Road.

LONG STRATTON – A140 The Street from its junction with C500 Flowerpot Lane for 200m northwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council drainage works between 19:00 and 06:00 on 11th to 13th December 2024 (may continue until 25th January 2025). Alternative route is via: A140 Ipswich Road, Norwich Road, A146 Lakenham Road.

MORLEY – C778 Golf Links Road from 200m north of its junction with C572 Norwich Road for 50m to facilitate UK Power Network connections from 10th to 11th December 2024 (may continue until 19th January 2025). Alternative route is via: C572 Norwich Road, U78078 High Common/Morley Lane, B1172/C572 London Road/Norwich Road.

NEW BUCKENHAM – Marsh Lane from 50m south of its junction with B1113 King Street for 75m southwards to facilitate Anglian Water new connections from 11th December 2024 (may continue until 23rd January 2025). Alternative route is via: King Street.

SCOULTON – C130 Ellingham Road for 50m southwards to facilitate BT connection works from 9th to 10th December 2024 (may continue until 28th January 2025). Alternative route is via: C130 Ellingham Road, B1108 Norwich Road.

TIVETSHALL ST. MARGARET AND TIVETSHALL ST. MARY – B1134 Station Road from 68m east of its junction with C344 Moulton Road for 45m eastwards to facilitate Anglian Water replacement works from 11th to 12th December 2024 (may continue until 25th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Station Road, Norwich Road, A140 Ipswich Road.

HUNSTANTON – Valentine Road from 50m south of its junction with James Street for 50m southwards to facilitate UK Power Network new connections from 9th to 13th December 2024 (may continue until 24th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Valentine Road, Westgate, Church Street, James Street.

KING’S LYNN – Walpole Road from 50m eastwards to facilitate gas pipe repairs from 11th to 13th December 2024 (may continue until 24th January 2025). Alternative route is via: Staithe Lane, High Street, Church Street, Ship Lane.

UPWELL

  1. Flint House Road from its junction with Cock Fen Road for 50m westwards; and
  2. Flint House Road from its junction with Horsehead Drove for 50m northwards and 50m southwards to facilitate Anglian Water mains works from 9th to 11th December 2024 (may continue until 22nd January 2025). Alternative route is via: Cock Fen Road, Horsehead Drove, Main Road.

WALPOLE – The Marsh from its junction with French Road for 100m eastwards to facilitate Norfolk County Council patching works from 11th to 13th December 2024 (may continue until 22nd January 2025). Alternative route is via: Marsh Road, Wisbech Road, French Road.

WEST ACRE – West Acre Footpath 2 from 200m east of its junction with Narford Road for 50m westwards to facilitate repairs from 10th December 2024 to 31st March 2025 (may continue until 9th June 2025). Alternative route is: N/A.
