(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SARRATT ROAD, SARRATT) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sarratt Road, Sarratt from its junction with Solesbridge Lane south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Redhall Lane, a distance of approximately 1536m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Solesbridge Lane, A412 (Rickmansworth Road/Chorleywood Road/Park Road/Scots Hill/Watford Road/St Albans Road), Baldwins Lane, The Green and Sarratt Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 9 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF HILFIELD LANE, ALDENHAM) ORDER NO.3 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Hilfield Lane, Aldenham from its junction with Pegmire Lane south eastwards to its junction with Summerhouse Lane, a distance of approximately 292m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Hilfield Lane, B462 Hartspring Lane, Little Bushey Lane, Sandy Lane and Hilfield Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE BUS/CYCLE LANE SITUATED ON THE SOUTH WESTBOUND CARRIAGEWAY OF A412 ST ALBANS ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all public service vehicles and pedal cycles from using the bus/cycle lane situated on the south westbound carriageway of A412 St Albans Road, Watford from a point 76m north east of its junction with the access road leading from ‘Odhams Trading Estate’ south westwards for a distance of approximately 60m (“the Bus/Cycle Lane”).

There is no alternative route available for public service vehicles and pedal cycles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this bus/cycle lane will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The definition of a ‘public service vehicle’ has the same meaning as in Section 1 of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981.

The definition of a ‘pedal cycle’ means a cycle powered only by foot or hand.

The Order is needed because electrical service connection works are proposed to be executed near the Bus/Cycle Lane.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Bus/Cycle Lane.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF A411 BARNET LANE, BOREHAMWOOD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of A411 Barnet Lane, Borehamwood from its junction with the Furzehill Road/Farriers Way roundabout south eastwards for a distance of approximately 131m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via A411 Barnet Lane, A5183 (High Street/Elstree Hill South), A41 Edgware Way (Watford Bypass), A1 Barnet Way (Barnet Bypass) and A411 Barnet Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF BERRY LANE, CHORLEYWOOD) ORDER NO.2 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Berry Lane, Chorleywood from a point in line with the western boundary of ‘Hill Garth’ north eastwards for a distance of approximately 45m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Berry Lane, Stag Lane, Rendlesham Way, Quickley Lane, Chorleywood Bottom, Common Gate Road and Berry Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 7 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WATER LANE, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Water Lane, Watford from its junction with Lower Derby Road south eastwards and north eastwards for a distance of approximately 50m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Water Lane, A411 Beechen Grove, Lower High Street, A411 (Lower High Street/Chalk Hill), B462 Aldenham Road, Bushey Hall Road and Water Lane or via Water Lane, Bushey Hall Road, B462 Aldenham Road, A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road), A411 (Lower High Street/Dalton Way/Waterfields Way), Lower High Street, A411 (Exchange Road/Beechen Grove) and Water Lane or via Water Lane, A411 (Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove), A4008 Stephenson Way, A41 North Western Avenue, B462 (Hartspring Lane/Aldenham Road), Bushey Hall Road and Water Lane.

The Order is needed because bridge repair works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF GYPSY LANE, ABBOTS LANGLEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Gypsy Lane, Abbots Langley from a point in line with the western boundary of No.24 Gypsy Lane south westwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 67m (“the Road”), except for access.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However, vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Loudwater Lane, Loudwater from its junction with Sarratt Lane south eastwards, north westwards and south westwards to its junction with A404 Chorleywood Road, a distance of approximately 1027m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Loudwater Lane, The Green, A412 (Scots Hill/Park Road) and A404 Chorleywood Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 6 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN BUSHEY AND BUSHEY HEATH) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:

  1. That length of Caldecote Lane, Bushey from its junction with A411 Elstree Road north eastwards to its junction with Hilfield Lane South, a distance of approximately 208m.

    • Alternative route: via A411 Elstree Road and Hilfield Lane South.
  2. That length of Clay Lane, Bushey Heath from its junction with A411 Elstree Road south eastwards to its junction with The Briars, a distance of approximately 148m.

    • Alternative route: via A411 Elstree Road, A409 Heathbourne Road and Clay Lane.
  3. That length of A411 Elstree Road, Bushey Heath from its junction with the A41 Tylers Way/A41 North Western Avenue (Watford Bypass) roundabout south westwards to its junction with the A409 Heathbourne Road, a distance of approximately 598m.

    • Alternative routes:

      • Via A41 (Tylers Way/Elton Way/North Western Avenue), A4008 Stephenson Way and A411 (Waterfields Way/Lower High Street/Chalk Hill/London Road/High Street/Sparrows Herne/Elstree Road).
      • Via A411 (Elstree Road/Sparrows Herne/High Street/London Road/Chalk Hill/Lower High Street/Dalton Way/Waterfields Way), A4008 Stephenson Way and A41 (Otterspool Way/Elton Way/Tylers Way).

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF THE CYCLE TRACK SITUATED ON THE SOUTH WEST SIDE OF BALMORAL ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedal cyclists from using the cycle lane situated on the south west side of Balmoral Road, Watford from a point 40m south east of its junction with A412 St Albans Road north westwards to its junction with A412 St Albans Road, a distance of approximately 40m (“the Cycle Track”).

Pedal Cyclists will need to dismount and use the adjacent footway.

The Order is needed because cabling works are proposed to be executed near the Cycle Track.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 3 January 2025 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Cycle Track.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SCHOOL LANE, BUSHEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of School Lane, Bushey from its junction with Rosebery Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 27m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Rosebery Road, Merry Hill Mount, Merry Hill Road and School Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 4 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Long Lane, Heronsgate from its junction with Stag Lane south eastwards to its junction with the A412 Denham Way/the M25 (junction 17) roundabout, a distance of approximately 1365m (“the Road”), except for access.

An alternative route will be via Stag Lane, Shepherds Lane, Church Lane and A412 (Uxbridge Road/Denham Way).

Additionally, all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 1 January 2025 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTIONS ON A411 HEMPSTEAD ROAD, WATFORD) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from being driven at a speed exceeding 30mph on that length of A411 Hempstead Road, Watford from its junction with Grove Mill Lane north westwards to its junction with the A41 North Western Avenue/A41 Hempstead Road roundabout, a distance of approximately 856m (“the Road”), when signs are in place.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 9 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Melbourne Road, Bushey from a point 60m north east of its junction with A411 High Street north eastwards for a distance of approximately 60m (“the Road”).

An alternative route will be via Melbourne Road, A411 High Street, Falconer Road, Herkomer Road and Melbourne Road.

The Order is needed because the replacement of an existing utility pole is proposed to be executed near the Road.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:

  1. That length of Loudwater Lane, Loudwater from its junction with Sarratt Lane north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with The Green, a distance of approximately 1584m.

    • Alternative route: via Loudwater Lane, A404 Chorleywood Road, A412 (Park Road/Scots Hill) and The Green.
  2. That length of Penrose Avenue, Carpenders Park from its junction with Greenfield Avenue north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 167m.

    • Alternative route: via Greenfield Avenue, Alva Way and Penrose Avenue.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads (“the Roads”), except for access:

  1. That length of Quickley Lane, Chorleywood from its junction with Hillside Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 110m.

    • Alternative route: via Hillside Road, Shire Lane, Heronsgate Road and Quickley Lane.
  2. The service road fronting Nos.39-77 Quickley Lane, Chorleywood from its junction with Quickley Lane south eastwards and south westwards for a distance of approximately 25m.

    • Alternative route: via Quickley Lane, Rendlesham Way and the service road fronting Nos.39-77 Quickley Lane.

The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 12 December 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (GROVE MILL LANE, WATFORD) (30 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024

THE HERTFORDSHIRE (GROVE MILL LANE, WATFORD) (40 MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council in order to improve road safety proposes under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 to introduce new speed limit restrictions in parts of Grove Mill Lane, Watford as specified in the Schedules to this Notice.

Documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals may be viewed from 6 December 2024 during office hours, at Main Reception, County Hall, Hertford, or on-line at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/trafficorders by selecting Watford and looking at Ref: W00424.

    THE HERTFORDSHIRE (LITTLE GREEN LANE, CROXLEY GREEN) (PROHIBITION OF MOTOR VEHICLES) ORDER 2024

    NOTICE is given that the Hertfordshire County Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose of continuing in force indefinitely the provisions of the experimental scheme of traffic control in parts of Croxley Green as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

    The Order will come into effect on Monday 16 December 2024.
